  This place was a mixed bag, slightly skewing to the bad side. On the good side check in and check out was smooth and quick. The beds were firm which I liked and the room was decent sized. On the bad side.. the door didn't close all the way (pictured), letting in air and noise. It was incredibly noisy, you could hear everything going on outside, from the room. Folks leaving at 6am, work going on, etc. The room was terribly lit and very dark, and could use a few more lights. The floor in the room was not clean, walking barefoot meant dirty feet. Hot tub wasn't heated (stayed in Feb). Wasn't the worst stay ever but I won't be coming back.

  Everyone on staff was friendly and accommodating, but the whole place is dated and not in great shape. Pool isn’t heated, which I guess is optional in Florida but I imagine it’s hard to get into most of the year when it’s not blazing hot. Hot tub sort of works. It’s hot, as advertised, but no bubbles or jets working. Our room had a wonky toilet and the ceiling looked like it had water damage in a few places. It’s close to Universal. It’s not a terrible place to stay, but not fancy. I suspect w so many rooms, it’s hard to maintain.
  
  Amending this review to say, yes I know where the timer control switch is for the hot tub and no it was not working when I tried it.

  Nice hotel, well located. The room is clean and the front desk people are helpful. No microwave in the room, so you have to go to the hotel microwave which all guests use and some heat up food in it and leave it dirty, despite the hotel washing it every evening, but only once a day. Other than that everything was fine, nice pool area.

  I absolutely love this hotel. My husband and I can’t wait to come back. We brought our two dogs and they were very comfortable here. I was happy to see that the guests do clean up after their pets too. Rooms are clean and AC worked great. The lobby is beautiful with a little gift shop inside. There’s a cafe to grab coffee and pastries at in the morning. We didn’t dine at the restaurant but I hope we get to next time because it looked great and the smells were amazing. Every person who I was greeted by at the front desk were so warm and welcoming. It’s conveniently next to universal so we walked to universal city walk and they have a shuttle that’ll take you there in the morning and come back in the evening to pick you up. You can buy tickets for universal at the hotel. The pool was wonderful and we enjoyed the hot tub. I didn’t get to use the gym but I will on our next stay. It looked really nice. They were also very understanding about the storm Nicole coming through. We left a couple days early because our lives were impacted by hurricane Ian and we didn’t emotionally want to endure another storm. We were nervous we wouldn’t be refunded for the two extra nights we had already paid for but they were so accommodating considering the circumstances and understanding which meant a lot to me. I’m not happy we had to leave early but we will most definitely be booking here again. This place is safe for families and anyone traveling alone! I was relieved to see security walking around making sure everyone is good and safe. Not intimidating and very genuine. Thank you Clarion!   Clarion was literally next Universal Studios, about a mile or so. Prices were not too much. Definitely better than on site prices. They are partnered with Universal. They do offer a shuttle but you have to sign up the day before. When we first got to the room, the keys didn't work. The lobby sent maintenance really quick and had to change the batteries in the door lock.
  I had a couple of issues with the room itself. There was a large gap at the bottom of the door, big enough for bugs and lizards to get through. The AC didn't get as cold as I would have liked and the shower head was really low. The beds were really hard. Outside of the room, parking was an issue and there were sirens blaring throughout the night. I really enjoyed the little breakfast restaurant in the lobby,
  The Roast. For the little set up they have, it was a pretty good breakfast. Check out was really quick.
