I'm really big on cleanliness and this room (241) I'm in right now is filthy. The only thing good about my stay is the cheap Sunday rate. If I can find a way to post pictures, I will. I'm a cleaner and I can see that this room hasn't been cleaned in quite some time. They need to get on housekeeping and start reprimanding asses, because they're getting paid for doing nothing. I'm headed to the office right now, as my pillow cases have hairs on them. This is unacceptable. Because I am a cleaner, I always have cleaning supplies and equipment on hand, so I went ahead and cleaned my own room so I could be comfortable. Below is what I vacuumed up and emptied into the trash I checked for bedbugs. I didn't see any and I hope and l (pray) there aren't any. Room 241 upstairs at the end is probably now the cleanest room here I can't recommend this lodging. Go to RRI Lansing west, instead.

Dog friendly which is the most important to me. Room was fine, TV worked as did the heating. Bathroom needs updating but worked fine. Quiet night. No problems sign in quick and easy.

Stayed here for the homecoming game. Found at least 15 stink bugs in our room and woke up with bug bites all over my feet and legs. When I spoke with the reception about this they offered me 15% off the room. When they processed the discount they actually only gave me 10% off. Overall the rooms were decent for a motel and the lobby area is nice but this place really needs to work on the bug infestation they have going on. Can't recommend this place unfortunately.

Bed bugs! Be aware . Problem was bright to the attention that area general manager in writing no response. BAD Manegement! Filthy poorly managed, walked away in the middle of night to be teared from bed bugs. No refund was offered. Worst experience! AVOID at all costs!

I like this little motel it nice! And I never gave signed or turned over anything of my accounts information and apparently something has been happening and my phone is hacked by the hole state and I never hurt any one So I don't know were this is coming from but it's a lie Stevie in WV has been trying to set me up for Tom and he told me he O.D. in WV and I have been in Lansing all day most of the day anyway at the lottery board trying to get my lottery tickets figured out. These are our kids and we just spoke with them! And they are fine

My best friend and I decided to come to East Lansing for the first Michigan State football game of the season. We saw the pictures online and thought "hey this looks pretty decent for a red roof inn!" so we were like, ya whatever lets book it and it was only for one night. We walk up to our room, first red flag was that the door was jammed shut, we had to go downstairs and find someone to kick the door open. Once it finally managed to open for us, we walked in and the room smelled like 15 dead bodies and a smokers lounge combined. We decided to look around to find where the smell was coming from, as we did that we saw condom wrappers all under the bed and to top it off there was BLOOD on the carpet. The lighting was dark and creepy. The whole room was just musty. This place is the worst motel anyone could ever imagine. So gross. Saw some scary construction workers next-door to our room, smoking on the balcony just staring at us. Creepiest, mustiest, nastiest, crappiest, grossest place on this earth. We went downstairs, got a refund, left that place in lightning speed.

I can only speak of the room I stayed in, so the rest might be better who knows. My room was dirty, the carpet was pretty bad, even the door was damaged. The breakfast area was tiny, like 2 people at a time can squeeze in to get a donut. The reason I gave it two stars vs one is that the bathroom was clean and the TV was newer and worked great.

I checked in on 8 /27/17 for a 3 night stay. I was laying in bed when a bedbug came crawling across the sheets. ( I had checked for them when I got in the room and didn't see any). They offered me an upgrade or refund. I was traveling by myself and it was late so I opted for an upgrade. I went to my new room and it had trash in the garbage can and dirty towels on the sink and hanging from the shower curtain rod. I left and had to find a different hotel. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Located right off of the highway it is easy to locate. Rooms are comfy and clean. Only downfall is people on the balcony can be heard even if you are 2 rooms down. Doesn't exactly help at 7am when you want to sleep in on a weekend.

A nice place for the money. Don't understand the bad reviews. Clean room, in decent shape. Friendly staff. I paid 65 bucks a night. People are on here reviewing it as though they paid 150-200 a night.

Stayed here over a weekend for A nerd convention. Had all the things I would expect of a Red Roof. My room had two beds, and a bathroom and there was even free breakfast. Checked the mattress for bed bugs and it was clean, just as everything was when I came in. This place is great to stay at if you want something affordable.

Paid $120+$20 tax, would have expected ~$75.
Climate control unit great was on or off, thermostat non nonfunctional. Friendly service and bed was comfortable.response / report this review
