This is a flea bag Motel. My five-year-old and I woke up at 4 in the morning itching and scratching. I found signs of bed bugs on the mattress.

Overall it is great. The breakfast options are not very largebut they have waffles. The staff is friendly. And every room has a binder with all the information about the motel and different locations in town.. Even an entire menu to a Italian restaurant that delivers free. Rooms vary from very nice to "that's nasty but bearable". And Housekeeping. We have been at this location for a few weeks now and Housekeeping comes every day. You do not have to worry about running low on anything. But they come very early. Also if you don't want Housekeeping to knock at 7-9 am then get a do not disturb sign from the desk because they will knock, and try to enter. I was sleeping naked and I for got to lock the door from the inside and made it to the door as they were opening it. So be sure to get one of those signs. And lastly, as I said Housekeeping does come every day.. But I don't think they clean to thoroughly.. I found a condom box behind our couch. And my Brother on laws room has a unknown substance on one of the pictures about the headboard that we believe is a bodily fluid.. But it's not too bad. And they do have really really nice clean rooms.

Nice hotel for the money. Wish the breakfast hours were a little more accommodating since nearly every one that was staying there worked the same hours, and breakfast wasn't served until 10 min after we left each day. Overall though a great barging!!!!

Don't let the pictures fool you! This place is nasty. We requested a non-smoking room. Walked into the room and it had an overwhelming cigarette smell, ashes all over the nightstand, the floor looked like it had not been vacuumed in weeks, the tub would not drain, very thin towels, dead bugs everywhere, and stains on the bedspreads. I asked the front desk to move rooms and was informed they didn't have anymore available. I would spend the extra few dollars and stay at the Hampton it's much cleaner.

    DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
This was the worst experience I have ever had at a motel. We came in late on our way down to Orlando just to stay a night. We were just tired and needed to sleep.

When we walked into the room the AC was off (it was JULY) and the room was terribly hot. After a half an hour of the AC not cooling off the room we went to the office and complained. They moved us into another room that honestly looked like it had not been cleaned. We were so exhausted and the AC worked so we went to bed. The next morning we realized there was used towels in the roomand it was absolutely disgusting. We didn't even feel like it was safe enough to take a shower.

The room looked like it had not been updated for 15-20 years.

Only paying $60 for the night we were not expecting an all inclusive resort here, but definitely didn't expect what was going on with this place. We again went to the office to complain about the situation and after 30 minutes of arguing with them they only gave us $20 off the visit.

Later that day we realized they didn't refund us, but double charged us! So we paid $120 for a place that shouldn't have been more than $20 a night. We immediately called the office to complain about the situation and they were argumentative and wouldn't do anything about it initially and then later finally fixed the overcharge..but never gave us the $20 offstill charging the full price. We then called Red Roof corporate office to complain. Later a regional representative returned our call and after explaining the entire ordeal they said they would fix the issue. This after they didn't even believe what we were telling them and we flat out asked them "would you stay at this motel"?

We still were not reimbursed the one night's stay to this day.

We later checked our statements to ensure something else didn't happen and all we got back as the overcharge.

I DEFINITELY would not recommend this place no matter how desperate you arestay at the Best Western across the street.

The pic was taken in their parking lot to prove we were actually there.

This is a nice, clean hotel for the price. Great if traveling with a pet. Good continental breakfast and friendly staff.

    Incredibly friendly staff.
Convenient to I-95, but far enough to not have the interstate noise keep you up all night.
    Clean room.
    Good breakfast.
    Affordable!

    Cons:
    Water pressure
Smoky smell in our non-smoking room

Our truck broke down and we had to wait for the repairs for 6 days. The rate is good and we travel with our small dog. We called red roof to make the reservation once the truck was towed to the shop to see if we could get in early. Milan told us he could have our room ready in 20 minutes. When we arrived it was ready. The room was nice clean and comfy. Everyone here was very friendly and accommodating. Did not bother us except to ask once a day to see if we needed anything. Always fresh towels and anything else we needed. We travel constantly for our business and are in a different hotel every night. This site will be one of our favorite stops along 95 from now on. Thanks Milan and his family.

This was a very disappointing experience after a long day of traveling in rain, fog, ice, and Washington traffic. There was no hot water in the shower. (and it needs help). The chairs at the table were so dirty I could not sit in them, and I slept in my clothes (that's a first). The front office staff gave us a room that someone else was in and so we needed to return to the office and get another key. When we were checking out they were very slow even at 5am. We notified them at the desk so perhaps they will get something done.

Milan & his crew made myself & Rick H. feel welcome & wanted. They are friendly, kind and helpful in every way possible. No doubt about it, I'll stay with them again on my next trip to Emporia. Bud D.

The room was barely acceptable. Bathroom was dirty, 1 of the 3 towels weren't clean (had hair in it and makeup stains). Bathroom was scratched up and had stains all over it. Breakfast wasn't that great, and the juice machine and waffle dispenser didn't work, coffee was bad, and the bagels are the crappiest white bread I ever saw.

The actual hotel room was mediocre the beds smelled bad. I gave it 2 stars because it was dirt cheap, and you get what you pay for.

I travel a lot, and I've been in hotels across the country. I would not stay here again. I'd rather spend an extra $15-$20 for a slightly better room. This hotel knows it's a "last resort traveler trap".
