I was dropping stuff off to a family member who was staying there. Don't really have any information to add.
My room/bathroom were clean, including no odors; however, there were two cigarette burns in the blanket and some hairs on the sheets. The sheets had definitely been laundered Perhaps hair left due to overfilling the laundry?
Clean, comfortable, and affordable. Within walking distance to food and a short drive from shops.
Rooms are pretty sparse with hardwood floors. No fridge or microwave. The price attracts a certain group of loud/inconsiderate/dumb crowd so be aware of that. Raise the price just a hair, carpet the floors, and get some microwaves and fridges. Bed and pillows were shockingly comfortable however.
Our room smelled moldy and old. I killed 4 stink bugs and the tenets all looked seedy. We paid over $50 for this room. When I turned on the heat the room then smelled like a hot piss. I was done. I'll NEVER stay at this place again. Go get a room at the Hampton Inn on the other side of the road. You'll feel much better.
Room is clean. Basic toiletries available. Check in was super fast/easy. Check out is at 12pm, later than I'm used to, which is great. -1 star because towels are super hard and room had a strange, damp sort of smell when I walked in. I'm acclimated now, so no big deal.
The room was in extremely great condition. I assumed it was recently renovated but the staff told me it was over 7 years ago. Still looked brand new! Everything was clean and up to date.
Never a bad stay. Extremely clean and friendly. My favorite place while on the beaten trail of horse showing
Everything was fine, great even, except for these few things. In the bottom of the shower of the room we got, there was still hair in the drain from a previous guest. Also, given how they advertise how '100% Smoke Free' they are, and there was an extremely noticeable smoke smell in my room. Even after sleeping through the night and breathing the smell in my sleep, my nose still wasn't used to it by the morning. If those are two things you don't mind, the price is pretty great, the quality of the beds and room amenities are fantastic for what you pay. The in room mini fridge has an entire separate half that is a freezer, and is a bit bigger than your usual hotel fridge. Each room includes a pretty standard hotel safe with a $10,000 insurance on your stuff. Now that I know what to expect, I wouldn't try too hard to find something better, but I still would try. I would stay here again, however.
Stayed here overnight on a road trip and it was comfortable enough. I think it was a good value for the price I paid. The room smelled a bit like cigarette smoke. Location is close to several restaurants, grocery, and other stores.
Like lots of Red Roof Inns, this building is about 40 years old. But I was impresses with how well it has held up. Clearly they were built of good materials. (The floor in my room had been replaced with what passes as hard wood flooring these days.) Room was clean. Sheets crisp. Staff friendly. Location near stores and food. (There is no breakfast, but Bob Evans is nearby.)
I travel for work and am in this area multiple times a year. This hotel is clean, the staff is friendly, and it's quiet. It could use a better cable package but small potato's. This is the place to stay if you are in or near hurricane. I also suggest hitting up Fat Patty's for dinner.
