The Ramada was a pet friendly hotel. It was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The only concern was that there was not a well lit area to walk my dog.
AVOID! I booked my room a week in advance and found myself tonight along with several other people in the lobby(even at 10:45 PM) without any place to stay. The hotel made no effort to find anyone alternate accommodations and merely recommended we call the online booking company. Those on the phone with the booking company's customer service were getting nowhere.
This is not the first time I've had this kind of problem here. Last time in the area, I booked a room at the comfort inn across the street. They were overbooked when I got there and they sent me to the ramada. Ramada charged my credit card a second time with their rate rather than transferring my stay from comfort inn. It took me several phone calls over a period of 3-4 months to get a refund for paying twice for one hotel room.
Once these people take your money and give you nothing in return, Expect a serious fight getting anything back from them.
These clowns have no idea what they are doing. We showed up for our reservation only to be told that they are over booked and we no longer have a reservation. This happened to not only us, but three other couples that we were there at the same time as us. No apologies and they seemed irritated that we were asking questions about how could they not have our reservation. The manager was useless, rude and walked away to leave her employee to pick up the pieces. Do not book this hotel!
1st - They had bed bugs the one night we stayed (mid July). I normally bring my own sheets & pillow cover but I had forgotten to pack one of the sheets & I was bit all over my left side, around my shoulder area & under my chest.
2nd - Front desk service was not the best. Not unprofessional but could be better. Staff seemed completely unmotivated & like they wanted to be someplace else.
3rd - Walking from the front desk to our rooms you could smell different smells that were not clean. Some musty, some like dust. The three rooms our parties rented all had the same musty smell. We tolerated it for that one night.
We all had children with us & luckly they all had their bedsheets from home so that was probably the reason they were not bit.
Needless to say we will never stay there again. We had managed to get a pretty good price but like the saying goes; you get what you pay for.
Beds are extremely comfortable, I have a chronic pain illness and this bed helped tremendously. Breakfast was good. Round eggs for making an egg on a bagel or English muffin, donuts, pastries, sausage, cereal, yogurt, fruit, waffles to make. Was a nice easy stay, no hassels.
Been staying there for 4 years now. By far the best year. Very clean. Very friendly people. No Problems or complaints.
You get what you pay for honestly. I used groupon, which summed up to 47 dollars. Upon arrival i was turned off that the receptionist did not have on professional clothing. While walking to our first room , the hallway smelled of cigarettes(in the non smoking section). Our key did not work, so we were assigned another room. I was relieved because that hallway smelled HORRIBLE! Our next room wasn't too bad, small and quaint. The sink ended up getting clogged and we had to brush our teeth, and wash our faces in the bathtub. My advice, do not expect anything of quality here, even the breakfast. If you plan on being in and out, its tolerable . I brought disinfectant spray, you should too!
I went for the holiday travel from nj they do not have a room for me and my family because the sold to a big group of people I have 3 kids and she dnot care she was looking rooms for the group but for me and my family she not find a room i make the reservation 3 weeks in advance she said I was not on the system and then she said went uou make the reservation i said 3weeks ago and she comes we were over book 2 month ago. guest what I call to wyndhams and they found my reservation bad service $$$$$ talks they sold my room for more money
The rooms here are cheap which is definitely a plus if you're planning on heading to Hershey Park. The complimentary continental breakfast was a pleasant way to start off the day before heading out. There is an available swimming pool with a hot tub but it is usually crowded by children and parents who haven't heard of swimming diapers. I would recommend upgrading to the room with the jacuzzi. The one thing that made me book here was that their website mentioned an on-site fitness center so naturally I stocked up on some protein to get a good pump on vacation. Little did I know their "fitness center" is just two treadmills, one of which didn't work, and a bike that must have been from the 90's. If you're looking for a cheap room then this is the place to go but don't expect to be able to get an actual work out to burn off all that fast food.
The room was better than expected. Everything was clean and well put together. Oddly though, the phones did not work. However, the front desk staff were very friendly
I travel a lot for work and stay in hotels often. This hotel had the most comfortable hotel bed I've been in, hands down. Clean, quiet and friendly staff.
I've stayed here several times before and this most recent stay was very disappointing. Original room we were given was not made up. Then we had to wait a while to get another room. Several items missing out of the room we were given like face cloths and an ice bucket. There was a dirty blanket just thrown on the coffee table for the sofa bed. There were no towels for the swimming pool. Breakfast was a nightmare. Everything was running out. Eggs were nasty. Compared to my worst night in a hotel, this was decent but not at all what I expected from this Ramada
