I give them 2 star because the rate was cheap. But our room was dirty the towel have yellow stains. The entrance door was all crack from some one kicking in from outside.
Inexpensive in a popular area. Good location. It is a difficult place to describe. My room was clean and had trendy newer decor, but at the same time had tips in the two chairs, no toilet paper holder, a broken toilet seat, and a clogged shower. They were doing construction in the room next to mine, but it was never loud from that. the breakfast room was small and packed and out of eggs and bacon, their two hot choices, when I got there. The bagel I had was decent though. The funniest thing was when I asked the counter if they had an ATM. By the look on the ladies face you would have thought I asked if they had a unicorn. i travel quiet a bit and use lobby atms all the time. If you need an ATM there are some close by. It
Typical room with a microwave & fridge. Table had one chair, bed was comfortable, breakfast was fine (eggs not watery) the hotel is listed as non-smoking but I could smell the stale smoke from prior to the renovation. There was no toilet paper holder and the towels looked nice stacked on the toilet tank but worry some about sliding off. Staff was friendly and our room faced the freeway so noise was evident not bothersome unless you are a light sleeper.
I don't know what it is what all these bad reviews. My stay was awesome. It was a bit sketchy to see the place look like it was in need of updating but the interior wowed me. It is really cozy and clean with there updated rooms. Like a split studio apt. 👍👍👍
Staff is a little touchy from the usual suspects running through there. Once they realize you are not causing trouble they go out of their way to provide excellent customer service. The hotel is under renovation currently but the upgrades are well worth the dust. I highly recommend the queen suite. For around 70$ you walk into a living and kitchen area and through one or two private doorways you will find a secluded private quiet comfortable bed room. I have frequented many establishments in the hospitality industry of North San Diego County and the Ramada of Carlsbad is by far my favorite.
We really enjoyed our stay here, and so did the kids. Breakfast was yummy, although we weren't given the serving times, so we arrived at the very end and almost missed it. The rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable. We spent some time around the pool too, and it was very relaxing. We will definitely return.
Staff will intercede if you are anything but normal and respectful. Newly renovated and extremely affordable. This is my favorite hotel and the price is among the most affordable of the Wyndham brand. Try the queen suite off season. For around 70$ you get a bedroom or two separated completely from the living room/kitchen. Amazing must experience breakfast. All around great deal, and many good experiences.
Rooms were great!! Breakfast was plentiful!! They have a pancake cooker and I have never seen that before. Would stay again!!
We got the kitchenette Suite. Nice and Spacious for a family of 5. Very affordable prices and We will definitely return.
Awful place.. Never seen more incompetent employees.. Lost my reservations and when they finally found them 2 hours later, they tried to give me a room under construction.. Then after another 30 min, they put me in a room the size of a broom closet in which the door didn't lock.. The curtains were yellow with stains & the bathroom had no towel rods, so they piled everything on the back of the toilet & the tiny sink.. My room was next to the pool that had a ridiculously loud generator that ran non stop.. The complimentary breakfast was monitored & you had to eat it in the tiny room provided.. It was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at any hotel..
The location of the hotel was good for Legoland. The price was very reasonable. The service was good. Had a couple of problems with the room. First off the room I reserved was not available. I was given a different room then the Microwave in the room did not work, the door lock to the room did not work properly either. On the first day, the door to my room was not locked. I had been gone all day and left all my electronic things in the room. Luckily nothing happened. Overall it was an okay place to be at just to sleep.
My husband and I stayed at Ramada for quite a long time and were absolutely delighted with everything. We enjoyed being 2 blks from the ocean and were most intrigued by our room. Staff hooked us up with a lovely 1-bedroom suite with full kitchen. They were all consistently spot on and went back and beyond for us. Can't praise them enough and highly recommend staying at Ramada Carlsbad.
