This hotel looks like it was well designed but it is starting to look run down. Building maintenance looks like it's been done on the cheap for a while. The rooms were clean and neat but the entire building looked worn.

If you need a handicap accessible room, this is Not your place to stay. There's an extra charge per night (almost $15 extra per night) for handicap accessible. Bathroom was a HUGE issue. Nothing could help the gross shower, black gunk around drain, baseboards broken off and dirty, carpet on bathroom door threshold was black with mold. Housekeeping did a good job, beds made daily, clean towels, vacuumed daily. In the room itself, peeling wallpaper, security latch on door broken, a/c not working properly. We won't try another Ramada Inn again.

Completely filthy rooms, mold in the rooms, handicap accessible rooms, which cost more than the other rooms, were extremely hard to use in a wheelchair. Had to roll completely into the bathroom shower to be able to even shut the door of the bathroom. Non slip strips in the shower peeled right up when you step on them. Water damage and ceiling tiles missing. Very soft uncomfortable beds. AC didn't cool the room very well at all. Huge hole in the wall that we very shoddily repaired. All in all, way too expensive and very very outdated.

Just nasty. We had to evacuate because of the hurricane and had no choice but to take this room last minute. They had no other rooms and i am super unhappy with the state of this one. Walked in and I was floored by the smell of cigarette smoke. I have mild asthma and can't live with that. Reached out to the front desk and they offered nothing. Had to do my own research and buy my own cleaning supplies to remove the smell. I began cleaning the room and dirtied up 4 of their towels wiping everything down. Who knows if it is dirt, cigarette ash or whatever. My next step is emailing their corporate office. Don't stay here if you can avoid it!!!!

Staff is really nice! We asked for a clean room and got one (:
Spacious lobby and its very intriguing. I really enjoyed my stay here, pool and hot tub! Its a classically older hotel not run down. I imagine perfect for large groups. Its inexpensive and located in a great spot! Not too far from mountains or Asheville!!

Made a reservation because of weather.if i had known how disgraceful the place was i would never of made the reservation.the pool was ice cold along with the hot tub. Was informed the boiler had gone out the day before. I immediately checked to make sure we had hot water in our room. The hotel is very dated & i would not recommend this hotel to anyone. If were ever back in the area we will never stay here.

I will never stay at this hotel again. Our family has used this hotel a few times in the past and never had any problems. This stay, they had our reservations wrong and would not correct them even though I had a print out of the reservation confirmation. The internet was not working and we had to ask multiple times to have it reset. The cable in one of the rooms was not working and we had to ask to be moved. Our reservation stated that we would have a microwave and fridge in both of the rooms, neither room had either appliance. The smoke detector in one room was chirping with a low battery. Another room, the door wouldn't shut unless slammed so hard it rattled the window to the point of almost breaking. The bathrooms were nasty. None of the security doors to enter the hotel were working. Anyone could enter at any time and most of the time the doors were propped open. They say they have an indoor and outdoor pool. Well the health department had the outside pool closed and with that we were somewhat leery about using the indoor pool. The staff acted like we were a bother and didn't offer much help at all. We put the do not disturb sign out on our door so that housekeeping would not enter our room and when we came back our beds were made and housekeeping had been in our room. From now on when visiting Asheville, we will stay somewhere else.

For $150/night I expected a bit more. This hotel was definitely not terrible, but the paint was peeling and the walls were dirty. The carpet turned my feet dark. Definitely could have been cleaner, and the room looked nothing like the photos online. 3 stars because it was a good deal for an overnight stay.

Location 3/5 - not bad, withing driving distance of everything. Rooms 2/5 - rooms are very dated, there are leaks in the roof, wallpaper peeling off walls. There was this weird timed sauna light in our bathroom of the original room. King suite room 4/5 - still dated, but it has outside and inside access, microwave, and refrigerator. If I was going to stay here again for any length of time I would definitely get the king room again. Service 5/5 - service was great. I called the front desk because our heater wasn't working and they were at my door within 5 minutes. They troubleshooted for a couple minutes and then upgraded us to the king suite.

Booked a reservation through hotels.com for our family of 5. Paid $15.00 extra for a "suite" which was simply a half wall and separating the two double beds from the sleeper sofa. The atrium was really nice although dated. Was nice because we kind of had the whole thing to ourselves. Pool was clean and warm. Hot tub lost water when running. Duct tape over the tears in the seat cushions. A fabric patch over a hole in the bathroom wall. Started to open the sofa bed and doing a lighter, some trash, and stains on the mattress so we scrapped that and my son slept on the couch. He woke up with several large red itching welts on his arm. If they did some deep cleaning and updating, I would definitely recommend it. The staff was great, especially the night auditor. She was super kind and helpful. Great location and lots of places to eat.
