Sold a lot of items I never wear but they didn't take some brand new items that were in style. I wish I could give 5 stars but just can't when 1 persons opinions are too blame.

Really nice little store in the Atherton Street section of State College. Good selection of gently used clothes. Could use more of a men's section but I understand that is dependent on what's brought in to the store. Prices are good compared to retail but high when compared to other thrift stores in the area.

Great selection and great sales. Obviously they have more girls and womens things than guys but still a decent selection of men's items. If you sell things to them and use what they give you as a credit you get 20% off your order which is nice. They have a type of reward card via your phone number which is also nice. Their Penn State selection of items gets better each time we go there and I am always amazed at the selection if baseball caps from all over the country.

I took 2 pair of boots one pair was American eagle winter boots brand new, still had paper inside boot. Other pair was a pair of black ankle everyday boots with heel. Brand new pair of dress shoes. All of these never worn. Also took three pair of American eagle jeans in new condition only wore once or twice size 14. And some cami tanks in. The only thing they would take was the two pair of boots, and I got a whopping $9.60 total. As I walked around the store I saw clothes and boots and shoes that I would never buy due to being in such shape. They should have been thrown away not sold. So I will never sell any of my good clothing there or go there to buy anything. Ripped off I was.

They offer low prices for items them sell them for triple that. I think they could give a little more for the items of they are worth it

My whole family loves this store. We always find things when we visit, however they always accepted the 20% off entertainment book coupons, but apparently not today. Would've been nice to be treated consistently. I guess we will be taking more of our business elsewhere. Dropped $150 today (probably should've put stuff back)!!!!?

The clothes are great with fairly cheap prices. However, customers service is lacking. If ever bringing clothes to sell don't. It's pointless because they will take you your clothes are too damp when there not and it's just cold in the store and the clothes are cold because of it.

Typical used clothing franchise. Nice people. They buy your used items on the cheap and sell for a small markup. They're a for-profit business and make no effort to hide that, but many people think they're a non-profit which they aren't.

A fashionable second-hand shop. Good prices on some things. Has clothes (for men and women) up through 1-2x. Lots of shoes and purses and some jewelry as well.

If you are selling clothes that are XL or higher, don't come here: they won't buy them regardless of their conditions.

I lost 60 lbs (I used to be 225 lbs, now I am 165 lbs) so I figured I would sell back the clothes in which I don't fit anymore. I brought my jeans (all in excellent conditions) to Plato's Closet and after waiting 30 min (there was only 1 more person in front of me) I was told that they cannot buy them from me because their size is too big (XL-XXL or about 44 inches) and they would not be able to sell those back. First, how did it take you 30 minutes to look at just the size of 3 pairs of jeans and, second, what are you talking about? There are so many people who buy XL or bigger sizes around State College. To me, it sounds like you discriminate against people who need bigger clothes.
