Love their khachapuri (cheese bread) and khinkali (Georgian meat dumplings). Live music, open till late night.
I love this place!! Excellent food and service. I am a vegan and they have so many delicious traditional dishes to choose from. Will be back here soon!
Great food, great people!!! Service could be much better
I never write reviews but I couldn't resist this time. It was horrible. When came in we waited to be seated for good 5 mins place was empty but no1 came out. After few mins waiter came when we asked where to sit he nodded towards the table. He was acting so rude like he was doing us favor or we owe him money. After waiting 40 mins we finally got our appetizers. And dish came out after an hour even tho we were told 30 mins. After waiting for so long one would think food would be good but tomatoes on plate looked like they've been cut few days ago.
Mediocre food compared to other Georgian restaurants in NY and service is pathetic: 40 mins for an appetizer, another 30 mins for entree, full 1 hr to get the bill. Worst of all, CASH ONLY, despite owners claiming they now accept cards what ever happened to Caucasian hospitality??? Suspect owners are not real Georgians- who are in general fantastically friendly people !
The food is really good and server is very helpful with making your choices. Plus it's a byob!!! ❤
Restaurant has new owner and really did very good job: one of the corner is designed home-alike gallery with famous pictures - and food is great. This is only place in Brooklyn, where you can eat fresh khinkali - on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Restaurant is 16 years in bussines and there is no question mark - WHY or HOW. Best!
"I wouldn't trade being a woman. The bonds we form through our oppression are something you men can never have."
That's what the girl sitting next to me said. I shrugged and agreed with her- there's really no way to prove it one way or another.
I took another shot of vodka. Then another. It was getting late. The pelmeni were good, though initial olfactory impression was of White Castle hamburgers.
I paid, stumbled out into the street and looked up to the stars, which were at that moment obscured by clouds.
Long wait and they don't warn you in advance that they take cash only
Service is terrible! Manager or whoever it was kept arguing that reservation was for 7 and not 11. Wouldn't let us have kids sit at a seperate table blaming on owner who gets uspet when extra table cloth. he wanted to jam our party of 11 at the table that could fit max of 8 people. Mind you the place was empty, which is already suspicious for a saturday. I would never put myself and my family through such rude experiance again.
So far, the best Georgian restaurant in NYC I know. My favorite is Lamb stew that comes in a clay pot with thin bread baked on top. Best lamb dish I know, other then grilled.
The place was booked for a party when we visited, so got sone take out. Delicious!! The place looked nice inside and the servers were helpful with our take out order.
This used to be a a great restaurant .. no longer (new owner). Food is blah, service is terrible - slow and unresponsive. a simple dinner took 4 hours. there are other Georgian restaurants
