Had high expectations for this place but they fell way short. The building was nice and waiter was great. That's it. Food was subpar and the steaks were some of the worst We ever had. We had to send one back (first time we have done that in our life). Both Steaks were ordered medium rare and 1 came out medium while other was medium well with no pink in the middle. Waiter agreed steak was way over cooked and manager came and brought steak to chef. After 20 mins, a new steak finally came out. The manager apologized but did nothing to make it right. We paid 250$ for the 2 of us and the quality was worse than an outback.

First time at the Point. Overall experience was poor due to how they book their tables. Made reservations for 4. A week in advanced. Had the first reservation for dinner. They had booked a private party next to us at the same time. Were not given an option to move. The place was empty. Were told we could not order dessert. It was a birthday dinner for my Uncle. They only hold the table for one hour , for the next reservation. For over $300.00 food just mediocre. They should provide excellent service. The owner should not use open table if they cannot correctly seat people. We go to the Shipwreck in Brielle, other than over booking in the Summer, many a long wait. They never kick you out. Will not be back. Better Restaurants to choose from.

Classy place, that sets the tone for the entire experience. Shrimp, Bacon and Grits App was tasty, NY Strip was cooked perfect and the bartender accomodated by making our favorite martinis that were not on the menu. Our server Chelsea was on point the whole dinner and very friendly.
With a nice view of the inlet, soft lighting, fireplace and classy decor it is an excellent date night or just a nice night out.
For those who say the place is "pricey" do not appreciate the overall value of fine dining. You absolutely pay for what you get here. We are looking forward to our next visit.response / report this review -

Very nice atmosphere. This place is definitely on the pricier side. However, the atmosphere is excellent, food is very good and the bar has some good mixologists as well. There is a nice water view and convenient and free valet parking which is excellent it that area. I recommend their steaks and truffled Mac and cheese.

A lovely dining experience was had! We sat in the new area outside and really enjoyed it! The food was amazing! Love the Lobster and those pop overs ROCK! Our server was outstanding, Chelsea, your the bestest!!
You will not be disappointed!
