I don’t know why they call it an “Emergency” center. Our dog was mauled at the dog park, was in obvious pain and breathing laboriously. However, we had to wait for over two hours to get any attention.

The services were fine once we were actually admitted but a lady with a cat whose nails needed trimming was admitted ahead of us as well as a number of other non-emergency appointments.

I just don’t understand why they even allow walk-ins if they don’t prioritize emergency care. I had to plead with them about how much agony my dog was in to even get a technician to look at him.

All in all, everything took twice as long as they initially said it would and they seemed to brush off the fact that our dog was the only animal there’s at the time in need of immediate, urgent, care.

This place is manipulative! They will fleece you! I cannot caution you enough to stay away from this place and find another alternative. They wanted to charge $1500 for a hospitalization of a 13.5 year old basset that had no fever or sign of infection. When I balked, they made me sign a form indicating that I was going against the wishes of Dr. Scott and that my dog's health was my liability. They then charged me $900! Stay away.

I came across a woman the other day in a store, and she was very distraught. She had just lost a dog because of the clinic. She brought the dog in for a semi routine checkup and the vets ended up just putting the dog down instead, without consulting the owner. That is a disgusting abuse of medical authority. The dog was in great health and I saw videos of it just before the dog was brought in. The vets just decided they were going to kill the dog. Forget this place.

I also had a similar experience when I was younger. If you want your animals to die; bring them here.

Pima Pet Clinic saved our pupppy! A few days after bringing her home, she came down with parvovirus, despite already having her puppy shots. I am very thankful for their care, as she was too small to treat at home. Their prices are higher, but considering the 24 hour care, emergency situation, and that there wasn't another place with those services. We are just happy she is better now.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. They left us in the room waiting for about an hour wait for the vet. They charge $85 for an exam that basically just checks your dogs temperature and teeth. Took our dog in because he was throwing up, not eating or drinking, and was restless. They told us that they need to do more tests that will cost between $550-$650 for blood test and X-ray. Then, they don't know what is wrong with him so they want to keep him overnight and give him fluids for $1,300-$1,500. That doesn't mean that they will know what is wrong with him. The Assistant was very rude and unprofessional. While we are at the vet worried about our pet trying to get him better, she was speaking poorly about us to others without even closing the door so we could hear her whole conversation. Additionally, she wasn't knowledgeable about anything. She was very slow and kept asking others for help. It's ridiculous how much they charge for the little attention, knowledge, and respect they give you and your pet. Please don't take your pet to Pima pet clinic if you care about your pet.

Worst experience ever! I work in behavioral health and I also teach customer service. Wow never had such horrible customer service ever. They never hands on examined my pet, would not let me talk about my pet in any way (besides symptoms)and what she means to me, as they completely interrupted and explained fees. May I add there was no other people there to make you think, oh maybe they were busy. They said they can do 4 x-rays and a blood panel for 748.00 that they did not have any idea why my dog had her symptoms. I refused the additional cost and paid for a full exam I never got. I am seeing an amazing vet at old Pueblo vet clinic that actually touched my dog, and he is helping her feel better. Top 5 horrible experiences.

Terrible price to pay, three years ago, I paid over $4K for my dog, the dog had parval. Staff are trying to lure you to cure, or otherwise they will ask you if it's okay to put you dog down now. I really don't know how magic Tucson is to let those unfit business staying open for so long.

I was very nervous about coming here for our follow up. My husband brought my dog here for emergency services and I had read the reviews. I had a great experience. My vet tech Jaclyn was very kind and caring and my vet was great! She didn't push any treatment/procedures on us, just gave us our options. She took time to listen and I really appreciated that. We are new to the area and have had trouble finding a good vet. I was very pleased with my service today.

This is the worst pet clinic I have ever been to. My dog that I have had since I was 4 years old wasn't able to move anymore and had cancer everywhere. We brought her here to be put down. She was in so much pain it was awful to watch. The people here were immediately rude to my crying mom. Then they said we could not stay in the room the whole time and we left with our dog no help from any of the employees. This place doesn't even deserve a star.

I've taken my pets here when my regular vet is closed. They have been positive, upbeat, and professional every time. I went yesterday after my old girl got a bone jammed in her mouth, and I was sure it would be expensive for them to cut it out. In fact, they were able to work it free without the extra stress or expense, and (frankly) for less cost than I expected. I could hear them coaxing my dog and exclaiming over her being so good and so patient while they did what they needed to do. She came back to me without signs of undue stress, and has been fine ever since.

Those who complain of the prices here: this is AN EMERGENCY CLINIC. It will always be more costly than a regular visit, the same as if you go to the Emergency Room for your own sudden-onset health problem vs the cost to see your regular doctor.

None of us want our four-footed family members to suffer needlessly. I do not come to this clinic unless I need to, but I am deeply grateful they are available 24/7 when my pets have to be taken care of immediately.
