I would give zero stars if possible. We took our dehydrated puppy here. They charged us over 100 bucks for a parvo test which he already had at the animal shelter less than a week before. They then recommended 1 to 2 days at the hospital for fluid therapy at a cost of 3 to 5 thousand dollars. That's right. Three to five thousand dollars. When we said that was not remotely affordable they came back with a number of 700 to 1200 dollars. They didn't seem to care about our dehydrated puppy, but about how much money they could take us for. They could have given him some subcutaneous fluids for a reasonable price and helped us help our puppy. We felt a complete lack of sincerity and a single-minded attitude of exploiting us for money. Would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. UPDATE: We took our puppy to another vet and $65 and some fluid later he is feeling much better. His nose is moist and he's perked up. He did NOT need to be kept for 2 days and given iv fluids. He was mild/moderately dehydrated and a dose of subcutaneous fluids fixed him up. Three to five thousand dollars for a price quote and making us feel like irresponsible owners for not wanting to pay that. Never again. We are done with this place.
Everyone I interacted with at Ina Road was so caring and competent. This has been about the 5th vet clinic I've been to and by far the most personable. I rushed in here after my dog got hit by a car and they treated her right away. I have no idea what the cost of treating something like that would be somewhere else. They kept her overnight and estimated it would be $1800, but it ended up being around $1300. They have insisted I call at any time with any questions and seemed to really care about Scout's well-being.
I took my 133lb male Great Pyrenees to an appointment at 7pm for them to check his ears. He does not like other male dogs and does not like going to ina road animal hospital since being neutered there. To protect others i muzzle him and they put him directly in a room. I arrived about 15 minutes early , the examination rooms are tiny and it was about 80 degrees in the room. A Great Pyrenees has a thick coat even in summer and he was in FULL winter coat for this appointment. After about 40 minutes, i knocked on the inside door, when opened, i asked there was a problem. My dog was nervous, hot, trying to pant while muzzled. I was told there was no problem, it would be about another 20 minutes. I said i was taking him home and was asked if i would like to reschedule. Yeah right. I would hope no one, especially a vet clinic would subject a huge dog with a huge coat to such dangerous conditions. He is young in perfect condition and strong as a bull, but what if he wasn't. Poor guy was dying for a drink when i got him home. Find a place that cares about the safety of your dog to thake him or her.
Our family has been part of the IRAH family for many many years. We refer everyone we know to the excellent care of Dr. Reed and her staff. Even people from out of town! We truly feel as though the care is beyond expectations and even through times of great sadness when losing one of our fur-babies the love and care goes above and beyond. We will NEVER go anywhere else!
I came in here after realizing my dog had eaten some chocolate. I wanted to play it safe and go to the nearest open vet. I just moved here and that was my first time in this vet office. They incuded vomit, and gave my dog activated charcoal (i would/could do the exact same thing at home and it would cost me $3)
They charged me $260 for inducing vomit and charcoal. It's ridiculous! literally!
Also, when I asked if I could use their bathroom, I was asked to use one of the nearby restaurants'. After showing the receptionist with my phone that they were closed and asking her to ask the dr if I can use the office's restroom, I was told to go use the albertson's.
This place is a joke.
Don't go here if you have another option.
I was concerned about my dog's well-being, so I took her in before her scheduled appt. They saw her almost immediately. After doc suggested x-rays, she showed them to me and discussed options. They were great! That's why I take all of my animals there!
Our older greyhound has had a few problems lately. Every time I called and asked for an appointment, hopefully that day, the staff made it happen. All the Veterinarians and vet techs we have met are knowledgeable and very good with our "diva" greyhound. It is a great feeling to know they are accessible 24 hours a day. I highly recommend them.
