I have been here a few times. The staff is very pleasant and will have comical conversations. I like that the server stays attentive to keep me replenished of my drink without having to ask. The food is very good. I have yet to eat anything that has disappointed me.

Pig in a Poke is the best BBQ in Pikeville. I'm from Georgia, but spent some of my early years in Memphis (so BBQ is in my blood). Pig in a Poke is definitely the best option in town if you're looking for some good BBQ! My nephew and I went in and ordered a few pints of pulled pork and some of their sides (the fully loaded potato salad is awesome), and their hot and spicy sauce is great (I'm a spicy lover). The service was outstanding, and the folks inside were very accommodating. If you are in Pikeville, or passing through, this is definitely a place to check out.

Sit outside if you can. We shared a sampler of all the meats with an appetizer and an extra side and it was plenty for two. I didn't care for the ribs but the other 3 meats were good. Coleslaw was fresh and good.

I feel like the quality of this food has gone downhill. Not sure if it's a management or ownership change. Sides are always good, and I appreciate that. Pasta salad and Mac and cheese are my recommendations. I wish the quality was the same as before. BBQ tastes different and the meat quality is way different. I've always had good service while here, though.

Took my wife here for dinner. Very good food and the beer is cold and fresh The only bad thing is the prices. They are very steep!

I ordered a Bristol platter.with sweet potatoes fried and Cole slaw. I got one slice of bread with some kind of ground meat that was6ice cold. Fries was over cooked and cold in the middle. I paid 17.00 for this. I am a black nurse, and was very hesitate to go to a restaurant that has no blacks anywhere. The service was great..but the food sucks
