The food was good and the plates were large, but there was a major problem with service. The service was really slow, and the server refused to split the check between the 5 of us when asked prior to ordering. In an area so close to a convention center that sees frequent business travelers, I feel that it is unacceptable to refuse to provide individual checks to paying customers when asked politely in advance.

Had the lobster ravioli, yum! Also had the margherita flatbread and it was AMAZING! Outdoor seating was nice during late summer. Why 4 stars? It took a while to get the food out to us, even though it wasn't busy. I'd go again though.

Very bad service. We are seven adults and two kids and they put us in a table without space for the kids. We ask to use a vacant table next to us and they refuse. Definitely we are NOT coming back.

Food was A+! The wine pairings with both the small and large plates were wonderful and easy to understand. If anything could be improved, it would be the service. The only time I've heard more glasses break was at a Jewish wedding.

Piattini is one of my to go places in summer. The patio area is really nice, not too crowded (especially if you go after 2pm) and overlooking Newbury street.
I really enjoy the food that is simple and unpretentious, but very good, as if an Italian grand-ma was cooking. Caesar salad is the best in town to me. I do enjoy the pasta too, especially the Boscaiola. I am happy the place has reopened.

It's a great place for a nice chill day (would be great for a date. I loved the setup and how everything looked. As for the food, they don't have a lot of food options and the taste doesn't have anything special that stands out but it's still good. The service was amazing. It's worth trying.

Great place for a date. We sat at the bar and our bartender was very knowledgeable. She knew when to tend to us and when to leave us alone. We didn't care about getting a table, but if you want one, make sure to get a reservation or be willing to wait. Overall, we would go back. The spaghetti was fab, and I got the small cauliflower plate.

The experience I had at Piattini was nothing short of phenomenal. I've ate at some of the best Italian food restaurants in cities all over and I must say that Piattini's food is up there in the ranks. The appetizers and main courses were delicious and everyone at my table was scraping their plates to get every last bit of a bite.
Beyond the food, the service was the other half of this phenomenal experience. The restaurant's seating and general vibe was comfortable, and the server was amazing. Throughout the entire dinner, he was professional yet personable, attentive, and friendly.
Furthermore, we arrived at the restaurant late so unbeknown our dinner exceeded the restaurant's closing hours. It was only after walking out that we noticed no one else was in the restaurant besides the three of us at my table and the restaurant's staff. The fact that the restaurant remained open, music stayed on, no one cleaned up around us, the server continued to serve us/offer us more drinks + never hurried us, and even as we walked out the staff was extremely friendly, I considered this to be yet another reason to give this restaurant a five-star rating.
