Really enjoy the fact that you can play with most of the pets. Very friendly, attentive staff and service but prices are absolutely ridiculous. I've owned lots of different dog breeds growing up and none of them cost the same amount as my trip to Europe. Staff is very convincing when telling you that you're getting a good deal but $5000+ for a breed I could get from any good breeder for between $800 - $2000 is just sad. Lost interest in the pet store after this.

I Love that they let us play with the dogs, But i just don't think they take much care of them poop and pee all over their cages. Great place though i think you should go.

We got our puppy in April. We were hesitant because some of the bad reviews. However we did our own research and I highly recommend Petland Lewis Center. Not only is our puppy healthy, but he is also such a loving well behaved dog, he loves kids, women and really just anyone who will pet him. This is one of the major positives for us, he's good with other peopleour other dog who we did not buy here never had that interaction with other dogs or people and she's awful. You can tell that the staff there cares about the actual dogs. This is a business for profit but so are breeders. If you want a good dog this is the place.

In 2013 I got a chocolate lab puppy who was 10 weeks old. He was so fun and affectionate! We got him on a Sunday and the next day we had to take him to the vet because he was sick. We later found out he had a liver shunt. We noticed because he was following the walls and wouldn't stray from them. Turns out he was going blind from the liver shunt. He is on special medicine and special food now and will be 4 in October. We also got his parents information and he was full Chocolate lab but they wouldn't give us the health background. I'm so glad we adopted him because they probably would have euthanized him if we hadn't of gotten him. We went to look at the puppies a few weeks ago and some of them looked so sad and had food in the cage but was not eating!!! and you see their ribs! I love my dog and he is so sweet but because of being so sick when he was little he wasn't associated with other dogs so he very scared around other dogs. I do not suggest adopting from Petland because their puppies come from puppy mills!!!

Love the fact that they allow you to play with the pups. Dislike the fact that the people there try to force and get you into buying them. There are some people working there who are really helpful and give a lot of information about all the animals, including reptiles. It's good that they allow people to play with the puppies as they are always caged.

But if you really love dogs, you would adopt from a shelter than give money to puppy mills and dog breeders.

The staff are so helpful and informative. Adults and kids were encouraged to hold and play with the animals. My kids felt comfortable there and loved spending time with the animals.

Hate it they over charged us for our dog that is usually sold for only 300$ and purebred my ass! I looked up my dog's breeder and he is a puppy mill owner !? I knew it was too good to be true with all those poor puppies in petland everywhere!

Definitely use puppy mills. IF YOU CANT SELL THEM AND HAVE TO PUT THEM ON SALE ALL THE TIME, PLEASE STOP SELLING THEM!
Also, they gave awful advice for my bunny (I adopted from OHRR) by suggesting rather unhealthy diet options, etc. when I stopped in to pick something up for her

We went there to potentially buy a golden retriever they have today which was $3600. I work in the customer service business, I understand people have bills to pay and companies have things to pay for. The price wasn't my issue with my visit. While looking at the dog I could hear the"manager" publicly scolding an employee at the front desk who asked to take a break. That part irritated me because it should not have been done as loud as it was or at least not in the middle of the store for all to hear. The part that really irritated me was later when the same said "manager" was arguing with a customer at the front desk in the same tone as earlier and just as loud. I as the consumer should never hear or see that. It makes the entire store and company look bad as a whole. Overall I was very disappointed in the experience because of this and will never return to this store.

This place doesn't seem to care about animals at all. They just keep pushing for a sale and never cared where the dog was going. After hearing their whole speech, they tried talking me into a $6,000 puppy payment plan. This included nothing important compared to local shelters actually trying to help animals rather than pushing out sick animals to make money.

Local shelters usually charge less than $200. They care where the dog is going and will not force you to feed low quality food to keep a warranty on your pet. The shelters also had the dogs up to date on shots, microchipped, spayed, and flea and tick medicated. They actually cared about the animals they had.

And before thinking that lifetime warranty is making it worth it. You would have to have 30 shelter dogs die if each costs you $200 each to make up for their $6,000 price. That doesn't even include the extra medical bills from getting them spayed vaccinated and medicated for fleas. On top of that, shelter and foster dogs tend to be healthier than puppy mill dogs.

Please help the people trying to save dogs lives rather than giving these greedy people your money. It will save you a lot of money and heart break, along with knowing you've helped a homeless animal rather than contributing to the existing problems of homeless pets by paying to over breed dogs in puppy mills.
