A good place to buy fish. They have a nice variety at a fair price.
Lots of puppy's too, with all the accessories.

I would love to give a higher review, but after my experience today I am unable to do that. I have been going in to Play with one of the puppies at least once a week, which has been a great stress relief. I also bring in my younger dog, to help socialize him with puppies, I love that it is a controlled situation to do this in.. I was told in the beginning they would love to have me come in to Play with the puppies even if I was not going to buy. Well today I wanted to buy, but they won't take the price I offered because they paid more than that for the puppy. Ok I get that, but I refuse to finance a puppy. I was approached by I assume the manager, she pretty much didn't give me much of a choice to stay and play. I had only been there maybe 20 min playing cause it took awhile for some one to even help me. I now will never feel comfortable going in there, so I will find another way to socialize my dog. If they had a possible buyer then she could tell me that And been honest with me, cause I am all about the puppy having a good home. And if I choose to get another puppy it won't be from there, breeders in the local area offer the same type breed for much less. And just an FYI, if a breeder is selling puppies to them at 1,000. Then that is way wrong, and probably a good thing I don't get that puppy. I only paid 500.00 for my boy I got there 7yrs ago, so I know they can come down on the prices. Other people I know gave only paid 300.00 for theirs. I got the impression that the money is way more important than getting the puppy a good home. Bad business as far as I am concerned. Finding good home should mean more than the price. Other than the manager the other employees seemed great.

I would NEVER buy a puppy from them!! $3700 for a Puppy! A puppy from an Amish puppy mill! Before you buy look for a reputable breeder in your area.Nobody should finance a Dog! These people should not be able to rip people off!

Honestly, the people that work here have astounding attitudes and they're all in it for the money with little respect for the animals that they are selling. Every time I go to this store, I am disrespected by the its employees, and looked down upon. Shame. Really do wish I was treated better the numerous times I've been there. Wish I wasn't treated like lesser of a human, and that their animals were respected.

The people are nice and friendly but the prices are high but they work with you.. the main reason they got 4 stars is because they use the finance company Easy Pay Finance. I urge you not to use them and hope Petland drops this company as they are not helpful to customers and will eat you alive..
A company (Easy Pay Finance) that doesn’t work with your customers is not a company that other small businesses should work with as a current customer who is now working hard to pay off yet another debt faster than ever.. I purchased a pet and financed with Easy Pay Financing interest free for 90 days.. I gave them my credit card and bank account number for automatic withdrawals and my first payment came and was declined and was contacted via text message about a declined payment. I immediately contacted the company about my mistake for forgetting to update my credit card.. we all have a lot of accounts and a lot of things going on so people do forget from time to time to do things. Unfortunately this company is a stickler and adhere’s to the signed contract and sticks it to a customer the first chance they get in which they did to me. So my choice is to pay it off with in the 90 days which I can or just not pay it and push it into bankruptcy and they’ll never get their money and go out of business after. Customers should have some sense of security with finance companies of all kinds with being able to work with them if an incident occurs of course case by case scenario.. I and other customers whom i hope my review reaches as many people as they can, shouldn’t use Easy Pay Finance or even shop at those business that carry this company as a finance option. I should have known that this company is a bottom feeder but life gives you lemons and you make lemonade and you deal with it and make sure others know what they are getting into so they don’t make the same mistake. Don’t look at me as the person who can’t pay my bills on time cause I do and don’t look down at me cause I had to use this option.. I am not a person who is wealthy nor am I poor.. I can pay for my things with a little help but not with this company. So I urge customers to truly look at your other options and for companies to look for these types of businesses that care about your customers as much as you do..response / report this review -

You can play with puppies and kittens in separate 'playroom' stalls. They have a large selection of exotic fish, and of course the usual hamsters, cocktails, ferrets, and much more. There was a friendly African Grey parrot, and even friendlier staff. My family fell in love with everything there!

Hello. Yesterday my husband and I went in to play and look at some dogs because we are thinking about getting another pup. Devora was helping us and she was informative. We told her bought two dogs from your company however she went on for 10 minutes to read the entire process of why it's good to get a dog with you which is fine. However, we asked to see three beautiful pups and when we wanted to look at one more she told us we can only see him if we are seriously buying him. I felt uneasy with this because every time we go into your store we take home a dog fully paid for. We looked at the two puggles and she said "should I get everything ready for you to take her home?" When I told her that we like to bring in our pups to see how they would react she told me that's not a good idea because it doesn't always work at right away. When I brought in my mini bulldog he and the Italian greyhound we bought loved each other and your staff was amazing and understood why we wanted to bring them together before we spent all that money on another dog. I know she is doing her job but I really felt uneasy with how we were talked to. Thank you

I have 3 puppies from this store and I can't say that I would ever go anywhere else. Whether it be from adopting cute puppies or pet supplies. The prices are great and there's always a wide selection of just about everything. The atmosphere is always welcoming and I could/do spend hours every time I go in.

I love the fact that Portland has a variety of options for raising a dog on a healthy diet. A healthy dog is a happy dog! Great variety of toys and accessories and helpful, friendly staff!

Pretty clean store. Staff didn't seem like they had any clue about the creatures they sell. They should really consider reading about the reptiles or fish before attempting to give advice. Other than that nice store.

I love Petland we went there to take my son so he can visit with the animals. He's never really seen much more than a dog. They brought out of puppy for us to play with it was the cutest thing. They have fish iguanas monitor lizards gerbils guinea pigs hamsters and a huge variety food and other cool gadgets. Staff is very friendly Elijah is who assisted me and he was a very nice Young man. He was extremely close to convincing me to take home that dog for $2,400. The best part is some depending on credit you can leave there was zero down and everything you need to supply you with everything you need great place to go

Every time I go into this store everyone is so happy and polite. Unlike other stores, someone is always there to greet you and make sure your satisfied. I've never been offered more help at a pet store, and someone is always so informed about each product I ask about. The staff is just a gift to be around. The animals here all are so beautiful, if I could adopt each one I would. Every puppy I have played with or kitten I have held, all seem so unbelievably happy and healthy. The team here takes care of the animals superbly. I have purchased a lot of food, toys, and items here for my animals and honestly wouldn't shop anywhere else. I love my pet land and I'm so happy I live right around the corner!! If you want to find a store that has top notch customer service, beautiful and healthy animals, I advise you to visit this location. It exceeds expectations!

I love shopping at Petland! They have the most friendly and helpful staff. Always clean and fully stocked with the top brands. Pets for adoption/sale all act happy and healthy plus they partner with a local cat rescue to help kitties find new homes. My pup loves their selection of healthy dental treats since giving kisses is her favorite hobby.
