Great place to see an actual grove, and buy fresh fruit. The tram tour is very educational and worthwhile. The cafe is very reasonably priced and the sandwiches were excellent! The playground with turf is perfect for the kids. Great family experience.

Best orange juice!! I won't buy it anywhere else. No other OJ compares to the taste of Mixon' s juice. Ice cream cones are also fantastic. The gift shop has great Florida themed items and really good fudge.

We order fruit shipments for all our relatives who can't be with us in Florida for the holidays. They make it super easy and we've never had problems with delivery or the fruit that is delivered.
They also have other goodies you can include in your shipment or take home for yourself, like Florida honey, Florida made jelly, jam, & marmalade (my grandma used to insist on the cherry orange marmalade each year).
Best of all is the homemade orange ice cream. I get it swirled with vanilla (soft serve) every time I visit. They also have a deli and gift shop, as well as orchard trolly rides. Great place for the whole family.response / report this review -

it's a fabulous quaint little place. It has a lot of Florida character to it. The employees are very pleasant and very knowledgeable. the owners walk around and talk to the patrons. their food and their Diner is exquisite and in large portions. Have a nice play area for kids outside nice little garden with a nice size pain with lots of koi fish. Just attended their Harvest craft festival lots of very nice vendors with a wide range of items. My wife her sister and her boyfriend and myself. A must-visit place.

This review is LONG overdue!!!
Our experience from the moment we booked the venue to the our wedding day was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! We couldn’t have dreamed of a better day. I had emailed Mixon last September (2016) when we were looking at venues and they got back to me the very next day and we met that week. What we enjoyed about Mixon the most was the staff and this is the main reason we chose to get married there. Sheri and Brandi and their entire team were very VERY professional but what we liked the most was they also treated us like family. We never once felt like we were just another wedding for them to check off their list so they can move on to the next one. They were incredibly personable and sincere during our meetings and this also carried through in our email correspondence as well. We never waited more than a day to get a response on any of our emails we sent.
If you are on the fence about doing the Ultimate Wedding Coordinator Package… DO IT!!!! It was an added expense that we hadn’t originally budgeted for, but it was one of the best decisions we made in our wedding planning process. On the day of our wedding they had absolutely every detail covered. I had several notes for them and they didn’t miss a thing. These girls really know what they are doing!!! It rained on my wedding day and they had to make some adjustments but the changes they made were spot on and looked absolutely perfect. I was never once bothered with issues or anything that “went wrong”, and none of my friends or family had to deal with those issues either. All they had to do is show up and have a good time and that is exactly what I wanted to happen. Be sure to take their preferred vendors into consideration, the vendors on that list do business the same way Mixon does. They treat you like you are family and like you are their most important client. That makes all the difference in the world in my opinion!
Many of our wedding guests have told me it was the most fun wedding they have ever been to! We’ve had SEVERAL of our guests that praised the staff, everyone was blown away by how organized they were and to see every single one of them having just as much fun at the party as we were added to our wedding experience. Brandy took the lead on our wedding day with her assistant and they did a great job keeping us on track with our timeline. As the bride, I never once had to go to the bar and order a drink, they came up to me throughout the night and brought me whatever I needed.
I really can’t say enough about how wonderful this place this! Do yourself a favor and book your wedding with Mixon today, it’ll be the best day of your life!

This place really looks weird. We felt like being in an old horror scene. It is quiet a long time ago, that this place was renovated or redesigned. That was a bad experience.

I love stopping here for produce when it's in season. Otherwise, the gift shop is fantastic for both visitors and locals. If you need Florida trinkets they have some of that, but a nice variety of other things too. Save room for their ice cream! 😀

Our organization had a 50 person meeting at the Honeybell Hall. The goodness of a company can be measured by its staff and by far, the employees here definitely care about each of its customers. Their friendliness and hospitality was wonderful, they treated us like family. All our members raved about the food which was so well prepared and looked and tasted amazing. The facility is clean and warmly decorated. We just loved it, in a room of 50 different personalities and tastes, everybody agreed how spectacular Mixon Fruit Farms was in every aspect of our experience. If I could give them 10 stars, I would because they truly earn it!

The tram tour is rather short, but you learn a lot about citrus fruits. Part of the tour is a wild animal refuge which was hosted by a very knowledgeable animal protector. You get to pet or hold an alligator or a Burmese python. Back at the store you can tour the citrus fruit processing plant on your own and enjoy free samples of juice or have a lunch.

The people are wonderful and compassionate. The site I was on said they stayed opened till 5:00 but they close at 3:00 during the summer. I called the store and explained that I drive all the way from Tampa, Fl to Bradenton, Fl for their Orange juice. They immediately let me in to make a purchase. They were truly terrific people. Thank you Mixon Fruit Farms.

This place had so much to offer for different gifts and souvenirs. Food, candies, unusual gifts, jewelry, shells, sample juices. Citrus juice. Gift shoppe. Fun place and would definitely go back. Definitely worth stopping to see.

My visit to the farm Saturday was so much fun! Everyone there was welcoming and kind. Kayla gave a delightful tour, showing us different citrus fruits all growing, and then we got to pet rescued animals, and learn about their histories. My favorites were Speedy, who munched lettuce while we petted her, a white skunk, and a small, very soft alligator that we got to hold! My favorite parts of the craft fair were the local honey and Norma, who sells individually hand painted ceramics. I enjoyed my ice cream while visiting the coy pond and beautiful grounds. Thank you so much for a beautiful morning!

I attended a wedding here. Facilities were nice and the wine made on site was tasty.
But if you're just stopping in for some ice cream, a quick bite, or a case of fruit, this place is perfect.
