Cute place in West Village for brunch. Food was great, except there were not many vegetarian options or non egg options.

This is a beautiful place, well located, but extremely overpriced (therefore the 2 stars). They serve basic Italian food (pasta, polenta, risotto) but the choice is very limited and the price is unjustifiably high. The service is good.

I went to Perla for the first time on New Years Eve to celebrate my 4 year anniversary with the GF and left extremely satisfied. We definitely do more cooking at home compared to eating out, but we wanted to go out for the celebration and take a shift off from the kitchen and decided to go with Perla which was recommended by a few friends.

The location was a nice one, very close to where I grew up, and the inside had a nice look and feel. The staff was very accommodating and everything we ordered was spot on. The risotto was a standout as well as the special steak for 2 that we ordered. Have to give a shoutout to Caitlin at the bar because all of the drinks she made were excellent.

We got some NYE goodies like 3 champagne toasts, some live music, and we were also given an instant photo of us taken by a member of the staff, which is a great way for us to remember the night. Also, after hearing that we were celebrating our anniversary, we were presented with a candle-lit chocolate tart, which was a very nice gesture.

We thought about a lot of options of places to go, with prefix venues and such, but at the end of the day I felt like we got a much better deal going to Perla. I can also see going back in the future for a bite and a drink when I'm in the neighborhood.
