After several decades in operation this Pep Boys store on Bird Road is closed, apparently permanently. It's laughable that they have a sign on the front door saying that they moved. Then the two locations they list are long time Pep Boys stores, and far away. No indication of an actual new store. It is desperate falsehood.
Regardless, there's no chance I'll switch to another Pep Boys. This store was within walking distance of my home, and the service department was very personable and helpful. In 2015 the service department manager Anubis allowed my older Infiniti to remain in the Pep Boys bay for a full week while we waited for the correct obscure part to arrive. We initially spent a couple of hours patiently checking on their computers. Without a picture it was difficult to pinpoint the correct part. The first attempt was wrong. Anubis and other service personnel agreed it was not safe to reinstall the old part and allow me to drive away. So he allowed my car to remain while the proper part arrived from Nashville. Over a holiday weekend it was delayed but finally showed up 6 days later.
I've never experienced that type of courtesy at another auto service location. Anubis and others in the service department also made sure their "master tech" always serviced my older car. If he wasn't there they would advise me to return when he was.
Naturally I had some annoyances during other visits but that was because my G20 needed many treatments as opposed to a prior decade of virtually nothing. I intended to visit this Pep Boys for years to come. In fact, I drove there for an oil change a few days ago before being shocked at the closure.
Best of luck to Anubis and others from this Pep Boys. I'm sure they landed on their feet.response / report this review -

I called before I went there to get my seat cover and installed. The person on from service depart told me we sell seat covers but donot install, I asked will service department will help me, he said yes we can help you to install.
I went from Kendal to this place, purchased the seat covers, I ask the retail rep he said service dept will help you out. I approached the service depart , service manager was so rude and bluntly refused me. I said I drove from Kendal from your place after confirming with you guys and now you don't want to help.
He didn't bother to listen or concern never seen such a rude people, ultimately I return back the seat covers.
The company don't respect there own words how can we respect them. I am totally disappointed by everyone in this store, no one is polite or ready to listen.response / report this review -

I have been coming to this Pep Boys for years. I've had 3 different cars all serviced here. The service dept. Is by far the best of the best. The service manager Anubis is phenomenal. Great prices and great customer service.

Even though they advertise free engine diagnostics on their site they refused to help me at this pep boys. Their reason being, the store manager told his/her employees not to provide the service because customers complained that the diagnostic tool ruined their car computer. How convenient though that their 89.99 diagnostic service was still available. Doesn't sound like a big problem but in Miami traffic I had to leave work 30 minutes early, fight through rush hour traffic in the opposite direction to my house, and wait 10 minutes for someone to tell me that they cannot assist. I cannot search and call every pep boys to find the one that decides to offer the free service. If you offer the free service online then all your pep boys should provide the service. And if it's true that your diagnostic tools are ruining car computers then you deserve negative stars.

I got a nail removed from a tire on Saturday and two days later the tire air sensor appeared again. I called and came after work late at night close to closing time and Juan allowed Matt to work on my car. I was low on my tire air and he was able to find a second nail. He fixed it quickly. They were both very polite and helpful. I really appreciate it and I'm glad it was taken care of so I wouldn't have to come in on a different day. Thank you Matt and Juan.
