Dirty and old! We went here based on the website and let me tell you it's nothing like the pics. The food carts a nasty. The only reason I gave it two starts is the haunted house. It's was great! If I was reviewing the haunted house it would be a 5 for sure.
I went to this Carnival with my date and had a great time. But only because I had a fun date by my side. If you're going with friends alone keep in mind that this Carnival is very small. The attractions are minimal aside from the big haunted house. So if you're a family or a person on a date I suggest going on a weekday as opposed to the weekend due to lower prices. Still a fun time if you have a fun person by your side.
I had a awesome time here everything was festive and the food was great the hunted house was very amazing and scary I would recommend someone to go here with their family 💙👍
Save your money and come on a weekday (Mon-Thur). I can see this being the ideal hangout spot for teenagers trying to sneak a feel in a dark corner but I would not come here again. Kids running all over, cutting in line and not much organization on how the lines form left me a bit annoyed having to guess where the line started and for which ride. Then, ALL vendors are cash only (probably to not claim profits come tax season) all of the ATMs where out of order. The 1 and only haunted house left me feeling "meh".
This would classify as your best low budget circus.
The set is really cool but is not that scary. My favorite part? The 3d section, again is not scary but cool.
I went with my friends and had an extremely good time. The rides were really fun and the lines weren't too long. It wasn't too crowded, especially since it was a Saturday night, if you went at specific times. The main attraction, the actual house of horror, was a five minute wait but when we got out, lines extended to half an hour or more. I suggest you go to the haunted house immediately when it's dark, instead of waiting until 9-10 pm. The house was better than I thought, I was expecting cheap and non scary decorations, but the actors and actresses were really into their role. I also expected a five minute non scary walk, but it was 15-35 minutes with a total wait time of five minutes. The house itself was scary but easy to laugh at fondly afterward. Of course, don't expect Universal Horror nights, but it was pretty good for its pricing. Like all carnival food, its overpriced but its the price you somewhat expect. My only concern was a girl got stuck in her seatbelt in one of the rides after it was over due to a malfunction, but they got her out within 7 minutes. The staff was great too, not everyone was super nice but no one was rude. There are a lot of attractions, and you could definitely stay from opening time to closing time without getting bored.
Honestly loved it! I went today with my friend and everything was so much fun and all the people who worked there were so nice. It only costed $30 per person and that includes all the attractions! The haunted house was a great experience and i would definitely be returning
Have gone to various concerts at this festival, which have an amazing price and are high quality, Also the attractions are free for the access fee, very nice concept for some fun times. only con is it is relatively small, but the density of awesomeness is high.
Not terrible but not great either. The rides were the best part. Haunted house was sub-par
I purchased 4 tickets to go to the carnival. I do understand the refund policy. I read it fully before going to the park. Due to unfortunate circumstances, it rained . What I find strange is that if it was visibly raining and were on the verge of closing the carnival why we weren't told BEFORE we entered and "used" our tickets.
After it had stopped raining, we asked when the rides would open up and we were promised they would. Then we were told an hour later that they were shutting down the carnival. I saw several people visibly upset and being treated very poorly by the staff. At one point an older gentleman was yelling at a woman. The customer service is unbelievable.
Once we finally decided to give up and leave is when we were told that we could be given refunds or have the ticket honored on another day. When I doubled-checked, I was told I was ineligible for either because I had "used" my tickets. Because I entered the carnival I wasn't eligible for a refund or a rain check.
If you were the ones who let me enter the carnival KNOWING you were going to close up early, why am I being penalized for that? On top of that, why were we treated so badly by the staff? I was also told by the staff that if I could only enter the haunted house once. The website promotes UNLIMITED entrances into the house if purchased online. That as well was not even honored.
I am so incredible disappointed by my experience and its even more disappointed that I had two kids with me that were completely disillusioned. I am such a champion of supporting local businesses like these, but seeing as this was my first experience at House of Horror, I am on the verge of not returning. Quite possibly, any positive reviews on this place must come from the staff and their family, because I have heard similar stories from EVERYONE I have asked.
In the end I contacted the staff several times through phone and email and not once did someone even give me the time of day. No response at all. They steal money from the public.
Located in the Miami international mall parking lot. They have good weekday options. The rides are a little.under maintained. It's haunted attraction is actually one longer house as opposed to the two the flyers/website make it seem.
Don't waste the money on this. We watched a few of the videos on their website and they actually made it seem really cool. So tonight, we get there, and see it looks nothing like the video did. Rides were really run down, small park with not much to do, extremely rude staff.
The whole thing was just completely misrepresented on their website. Their tent of the "freakshow" was just a building full of information about some famous carnies in the past that you could just as easily see online. The biggest source of disappointment was the entire haunted house experience, though. It looked and sounded 100% different on their website. The actors were alright, but there weren't nearly enough of them, and all the jump scares were easily predictable, and it was essentially just 95% jump scares.
Food was expensive, none of the rides seemed fun. We only rode one, and it was boring and run by, yet again, rude employees.
We drove all the way from West Palm Beach only to stay for about an hour and a half. Don't waste the money. I'm just glad we went on a weeknight when tickets were half the price.
