We use to stay here all the time and it was amazing. It seems to be run by new management. The front office lady was very rude and disrespectful. The room had bugs and black mold. My family and I stayed 4 nights to escape a hurricane and in that time the room was never cleaned even after we requested it to be cleaned. The rooms smell of mold!! If I could I would submit this without any stars. We will never be returning!

I wish I could give this travesty of a lodging negative stars. The room was not cleaned, but the bed was made. We found urine and hair on the toilet seat, a full box of moldy pizza, several magazines, a used cup of wine and other trash on the dresser, and the made bed's stained sheets were full of hair, food crumbs, BOOGERS wiped into the linen and something crusty I can only asume is semen. The door did not lock from the inside or outside. I was afraid to use the rust stained, cracked shower. By the time we realized the extent of the damage (10:30), the office was closed and no one was answering the night manager line. I spent most of the night in the car for fear of bedbugs.

The following morning we asked for a refund due to obvious health violations, and the old woman behind the counter pretended to not speak English well. (She seemed to do fine the night before.) We asked for the phone number of the owner because she said he was the only one who could issue a refund. She then refused to give us any number, saying only that the mysterious Mr. Patel would be here at 4 on Friday.

We've called the BBB, put a hold on any transactions from this business on our card and are now waiting nervously to see if we've contracted bed bugs from this awful place.

Save yourself the heartache and either camp or shell out double the money for the other lodging in Linville Falls.

Under new management 2017 season. Doing a lot of great renovations including upgrading the TVs to flat screens. Great rooms. The Wi-Fi was a bit slow, but this is being upgraded.
Overall I think the renovations are good and this is a great place to stay.

Hotel has been sold and the cleanliness has really gone downhill. Hairs in the bed of the first room. I would advise to ask to see room before committing.

Dave and Cindy are wonderful and so friendly. I loved the little cabin set off in the woods. It was quaint and very charming. Tranquil and serene don't even begin to describe it. When we arrived Friday night Cindy invited us to sit and watch the race in the main area. We had great conversation and enjoyed the pups. After getting rained out on Saturday's race. Dave and Cindy allowed us to stay an extra day in the cabin. Sunday Dave offered to give us a ride to the race that afternoon. We joined Dave and his friend, sat with them at the race and again had great conversation.

If you are needing a getaway, want to meet some wonderful people or just want to relax somewhere with a scenic views then Parkview Lodge & Cabins is the place to go. I guarantee Dave and Cindy will take good care of you.

My wife and I, & our 2 Westies stayed in the cabin behind the hotel in November 2015. We had the best time. The owners are great, the cabin is rustic, & Linville Falls & Grandfather are near. Great memories.
