I finished my nursing degree here. I'm so greatful for the affordable, convenient education I received. The campus is beautiful, well maintained. Graduated in Dec. and already miss it.

Lots of improvements to the campus including a large parking structure to help with the parking (which was bad for awhile). The new facilities are very modern and functional. The teachers here have always seemed to care for the students and I have always had the chance to receive help with academic counselors or whatever else I needed. The price of tuition for residents is very low, and the BOGW helps to make your tuition nearly free. I recommend anyone looking to finish undergrad/general studies here!

I've been a student (intermittently) here since 2017. As someone that loves learning and the overall "school" atmosphere, I feel extremely fortunate that I get to be a student at Palomar College; "lucked out", I would say.

The teachers are magnificent and have the potential to change your life forever (I know a few that have for me already*).

You can get help with enrollment fees with through the BOG Waiver - all my classes end up being free because of it. Parking permits 1/2 off also.

The school is modern and always improving. Their buildings are stylish and unlike anything I've seen anywhere else. Each is unique, yet somehow they all come together to form a beautiful campus.

I truly look at this campus like a second home. I love going here.

(Parking can suck, that's a big reason why I try to only stick to night classes 🤓) ➡️ HOWEVER! They now have a brand new parking GARAGE! I haven't used it yet, as I am only doing evening classes, but I can only imagine how much it helps everyone be able to find parking! It is nice to know that they actually do care about the problems we face throughout college life & do what they can to help make it as comfortable & as enjoyable as possible!
UPDATE (3/19/18)!! I started using the parking garage and it is AWESOME!!! Security cameras coming soon! This school keeps on getting better and better!!

'Safety' is also another big thing here that they take seriously. They make sure to inform us students on a regular (& when, if necessary) basis all the details regarding our options when it comes to being and staying safe throughout our education at Palomar. They have their own (actual/legit) police force that is on duty 24/7 & a direct emergency line to call any hour day or night. They provide free escorts to anyone needing or just wanting a little extra piece of mind walking to their car or anywhere around campus. Every class locks from the inside by a button next to the teacher's phone that keeps anyone from getting in in case of an active shooter or anything else putting students at harm, & when they lock, it sends a signal to the Palomar Police with the location of the room, etc. etc. I could go on but you get it, they care & work hard to keep us safe! 🤗

This is the best city college I've ever attended. It feels like a university. They have something for everyone. There is an Emmy winning broadcasting studio pumping out radio, film, and t.v. they also strive with a while fashion section, computer labs galore, a planetarium, a pool, basketball courts, lockers, coffee shop, and Even a jamba juice and a subway. I live going to palomar!

I started at Palomar College in 2011 unfortunately I became very ill and had to have 13 in 26 months. Palomar college is not willing to help with my financial aid because I have failed classes while I was sick and I think it is so unfair that they deny me financiall Aid! The only reason I give it five stars is because the professors are more understanding than any other staff, especially the financial aid staff !!!

I love Palomar. Great teachers, great classes. There are so many great programs to choose from. The enrollment is easy and they really focus on skills needed in the job market. I am thrilled with how I can apply everything I learned right away at my job.

I've been a student at Palomar for several years, and I am consistently impressed with the level of education I am receiving. With rare exceptions, my professors are very well suited to teaching and excited to help people learn. The facilities are adequate to exceptional and are improving semester by semester with the completion of construction (pardon their dust!). The breadth of programs and subjects offered at Palomar are impressive as well. When I was researching colleges I couldn't find another institution with as much to offer in terms of courses.
The school is conveniently located adjacent to the Sprinter light rail system and three or four Breeze bus routes. The parking is usually adequate but tends to be swamped when numbers swell at the beginning of the semesters. The grounds are extremely well maintained and are locally renowned as a designated botanic garden/preserve.
Overall I don't think you can find a better school in North County to pursue an Associate's, Certificate, or GE for transfer. There is a reason that Palomar was voted the #2 college or University in San Diego County!

Use the field for football practice. Have used the swimming pool for swim practice. Have gone here for classes. I've had friends that went here for classes. This place is constantly growing in his many satellite colleges as well. Tons of different fields of study.

I had an excellent experience attending Palomar College. My friends and I learned how to write college level papers, and do basic accounting during our sojourn as Comets. It was an inexpensive way for us to get our GE courses out of the way; saved us lots of money. Their PE classes were also lots of fun, and kept us in shape. I'm going to pick up another Palomar College t-shirt on my next trip to the Mainland.
