Great school for a community college. I heard it’s the best around. Many students come from San Diego or from the North just to go here. They do a lot of things by hand (compared to other schools that do things electronically). The grounds are well kept. The parking is horrible during the beginning of the semester. More parking will be available as time comes. When you register for a class, you need to pay the same day or you get dropped. If you’ve dropped a lot of classes, the school might give you a hold because the classes are impacted. There is a daycare center. Parking permits and books are relatively cheaper than most.

MCC Fall 1996. Okay community college. The campus is not too big. Friendly instructors.

I highly recommend this school for anyone wanting a degree or just some worthwhile self-enrichment. As a student there, you feel at home and there is a constant atmosphere of creativity and flexibility. We need more community oriented schools like this one!

Not to shabby for a community college. The grounds are well kept and staff seem to be friendly and helpful. The problems I do have with this campus however is the over-pricing of products in both the bookstore and cafeteria. Students have to be some of the poorest citizens aside from the homeless and the school chargers "an arm and a leg" for things bought on campus. It makes no sense to me.

Attending Mira Costa College to fulfill my highschool foreign language credit during my junior year was such a privilege; the campus may not be a new and updated at Palomar College, but the teaching staff there is definitely some of the best in the state, of not the nation. My Japanese 202 professor was well-organized and taught a very enriching curriculum, while the occasional professor survey would help department heads and the headmaster understand how the professor is doing, and how well each student receives their style of teaching, and curriculum.

Good School. The campus is breath taking. Views of the ocean in the dining hall and surrounding areas. Tons of plants and trees all around, a great variety. Staff are helpful. Parking is a struggle, unless you don't mind parking in dirt lots but then it's not worth buying a parking permit. As for professors and academia, they could improve. Check professors ratings onlines some teach to only one or two learning styles. The classes are pretty easy. Maybe to easy.

I started out at MiraCosta College through the Summer Bridge Program. A 6-week program geared towards African descent high school students to transfer from high school to college. In the program we always had different ethnicities, outside of African descents. If you were not ready for the real world, up close and personal. Oh, well! The program made us take a look at ourselves, see how the world views us. For once in our lives we were given the chance to be in charge of our future and speak up. This program really changed us for the better.
