The peole here care if you show them you care. College is affordable because of places like this. Really you get what you put in but this is a great place to start a journey. Teachers are genuine individuals trying to spread info, counselors are helpful but admissions is hard to reach over the phone.

Great professors, easy yet challenging classes, and an overall great school for day to day dealings. Financial Aid is a hit or miss, there are some financial counselors that give you attitude over small questions and some that help you with issues right away. I had to drop out for the year because I made a mistake on my FAFSA and didn't find out until way too late that nothing could be done to get me even the tuition waiver.

I would love to continue my education here, but I am increasingly frustrated with all of the cuts to the arts in favor of STEM. I major in both an art and a STEM, so I have to attend another school to get proper training in the arts.

This place is amazing. From the counselors, to the professors, to the dean's. Chaffey cares about both it's employees and students. Very motivational, inspirational and resourceful people.

I’ve been a student here for almost 4 years paid all my fees without any financial aid. The campus had a parking solar system installed, allowed students to park on staff parking for about 2-3 mths. I parked on staff parking on the day “ we were no longer allowed to park on staff parking” got a parking citation!! I tried to Appeal my citation it was an honest mistake. Did not know an email was sent to all students the day I was cited informing we were no longer allowed to park on staff parking. I was parked for 30 min professor send us home early. I have my student parking permit paid, classes paid I spend to much money at the school as it is and the officer could not forgive me made me paid $38 dollars!! That’s insane! This school is so money hungry!! Look for a better school who help their students out and understand students don’t make much money. Can’t wait to leave this school.

My experience here has been so much better than my experience at RCC.

I love the campus. Everything has been handled smoothly and with little to no stress. The classes were easy to get, even though I registered a couple of weeks before the semester started.

Their online classes are never organized professionally. They don't tell you to get your book until the day the classes start it should be a week or two before the classes start to notify students before obviously we still have to wait for the book if you order it online. Also all the teachers need to update their employee directory for contact I was dropped from my history class and was unable to contact my teacher for assistance.they don't use their college email they use their personal emails. Honestly this school is great but in some areas they're lacking.

Their phone system is the most frustrating. I'm trying to get my raw scores to transfer to RCC but unlike RCC that answered my questions right away no machines, I have yet to talk to any administrative personel. I'm calling the better business bureau to see how long it takes THEM to transfer me to a supervisor.

    Doesn't communicate well
I signed up for placement testing online and had to print both verification form and email confirmation and was told I had to take those to the test day as they had to be shown to testing instructor
On the confirmation page it also said students had to first check in with SSA and then head over to VSS for testing
I walked over to SSA and asked to check in and they looked at me like I was crazy, I showed the paper and they said "they had no idea why it said that"
Once I arrived at VSS the instructor didn't ask for any confirmation page so I pretty much wasted paper and ink for nothing 🙃
I also had to get a form filled out by financial aid for the upcoming fall 2017 term and they filled out everything for the summer 2017 term

Terrible "school". Get a less awkward education elsewhere.

If I could give this school negative stars I would. They do not inform students about anything. I go in person to the office to ask questions and they stare at me like I'm a huge idiot. They lag my financial aid for a long time. I would park in the parking spaces with the meter because I had no money for a parking pass and I got a ticket my first day. I had so much trouble trying to add courses and with my application and also with the financial aid process. They DO NOT COMMUNICATE EFFICIENTLY WITH their students. My teacher later on suggested that I drop his class because I did not have money to pay for an online code to do my homework online. All while wasting time and gas trying to go to the campus in Rancho because the class I was suppose to take at the Chino campus was completely canceled. Keep in mind I still have not received aid in any way or form.
I have had trouble with the community college of San Bernardino but no where near such a horrible experience here at Chaffee.
They purposely try to keep you at Chaffee for as long as possible! I would STRONGLY suggest pursuing education esle where!
This place is just as bad or even worse than high school.
