I was just reflecting on how bad my experience was here, so bad that I decided to come back years later and leave this review. If you have the option to go anywhere else, you would be smart to take it. For any wondering I got my degree here. There is no doubt the staff will try to bad mouth all bad reviews.

There is a receptionist at this school in the advisor office who is incredibly rude. If you don’t know how to talk to people then leave. If you don’t like your job then leave. She said her name was Tyler but that can be a lie because she’s the type of person to do that. Please be aware.

You are completely on your own in this college. They are too busy to answer your questions or explain things, almost like they want you to quit. Guess you get what you pay for.

Terrible school. Promised a lot of things and failed on all accounts. Cyber lab from date of install never worked still not to this day still not accredited with dept of homeland and or federal govt for cyber security. Most if the classes are a joke outdated and irrelevant. If you have a choice go to nova or ucf much better programs and are certified by homeland and all the federal agencies. Also no hands on and all high level 4000 classes are on online and most instructors that teach them do not pay attention to any assignments for give quality feedback.

One of the hardest things to do for me was to return to school 15 years after dropping out. Palm Beach State has inspired me to conquer my fears and the academic advisor encouraged me to start slow. Now I am a straight-A student and en route to earn my degree

First of all, i started going here from 2008 for my Associate Degree and back then they didn't have so much Bachelors Program and my god does they now. This college is for local community and students who want to be lazy and don't want to drive 1 hour. This is like home sweet home college and the staff is pretty knowledgeable. The only issue is Financial Department is a joke they tried to screw me 4 times in 6 years. They have the good teacher as well as horrible ones so good luck. Beside that this college is great, and not so expensive give it a try.

There is little to no parking. Poor planning and lack of foresight for an educational Institution. If you're looking to take classes at a campus where you can park, go to Boca.

From registration, financial aid, advisors, to selecting classes, EVERYONE has been VERY HELPFUL & a DELIGHT at the LAKE WORTH campus. I take early classes so the bathrooms are VERY clean at this time, as well as the OVERALL campus. Even when I have to bring my munchkins, nobody looks at me crazy, if anything their MORE HELPFUL! I thought starting college would be DIFFICULT & they've made it VERY EASY for ALL! If your coming to further your education and raise your PAY GRADE, get your diploma/ certification here. I thought I may have to look over my shoulder yet even the students are VERY pleasant & I'm VERY COMF0RTABLE. I'm glad I'm finally getting my degree & HOPE this encourages others to do so as well. BTW there's a D&D on campus, perfect for PICK ME UP's!

DON'T GO TO THIS SCHOOL! I repeat: DO NOT ATTEND THIS SCHOOL YOU WILL REGRET IT! HORRIBLE, NASTY, RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL TRAILER TRASH STAFF WITH NO MANNERS AND NO SENSE OF DECENCY. EVEN THE MANAGERS IN FINANCIAL AID AND SCHOOL INFORMATION, THEY TALK OVER YOU, THEY CUT YOU OFF THEY ARE CURT AND FEISTY, THEY HANG UP ON YOU, AND THEY ARE NOT VERY SMART. THE ONES IN FINANCIAL AID ARE SLOW AND OBLIVIOUS AND RUDE. THEY ARE THE SCUM OF THE EARTH IN CUSTOMER SERVICE

I do not have anything bad to say about the campus as a whole (which is why I rated it three), but in regards to the Math lab section that helps with college algebra and up, I do not find it very helpful. Third time going there and yet another terrible experience. Some of the staff they have to help seem like they don't want to be bothered with helping you. I slide my card for only a few seconds of someone coming up to me, but leaves without explaining much and never even attempted to write the problem down, and then I'm left to figure it out on my own. Students are given 15 mins for help according to the sign. I came to get help because I don't understand or know how to proceed to do the math problem. It would be much appreciated if they explain the things they do and show step by step like how a tutor should help. I do not like how the guy kept walking away every time, and every time he walked away, I had to get up to slide the card every time just for him to come back for a few seconds and leave again when I am still stuck on the one same problem not knowing what I did wrong! He wasn't busy and wasn't helping anyone else either at the time. I ended up leaving. I plan to never go back. It is very discouraging. Tuition pays for tutoring, so this makes me feel worse. I feel bad for those who need help when certain staff don't act like they want to help their students succeed. I'll just teach myself with help online.

Palm Beach State College is full of highly educated professors who actually care about their students. However, the staff that works in advising, registrar, financial aid,etc have no idea what they are doing. They are so rude and couldn't care less about the students. I can honestly say that I have to get all information on my own and do all of my own advising and figure out everything about finances myself. Palm Beach State would be great if it wasn't for them. The student learning center is also very helpful.. IF you get the right tutor. Half of the tutors are so nice and want to help you learn. The other half are nasty and make you feel dumb. It is a real shame that some of the people who choose to work with college students do not even have their best interest in mind.
