Has a good all-you-can-eat buffet with a wide variety of food and desserts. There are several other restaurants as well but I haven't eaten at them. Obviously there is a large casino and hotel on site. Pala is in the northeastern extremity of the San Diego area and the most practical means of going there is by car. Pala can be reached via public transportation but options are very limited: there is one bus line, the NCTD Breeze 388 with service once every 1-2 hours during the day between the Escondido transit center and Pala.

This is a nice Casino yet not very large. They do have large entertainment acts come in which can be fun. There are several restaurants including a steakhouse which is really fantastic. there's entertainment on the main stage in the center of the casino so you can watch that as you play the games.

The overall appearance of the casino is fantastic. Nice and clean. Great service. I had lunch at 'Choices' and I thought the food could have been better. Overall though it was a nice experience

Pala is a nice casino tucked away in a small valley. The rooms were spacious and well tended. Newspapers were available in the breeze way outside the elevator. I visited on a Saturday and the casino filled up by the early afternoon. I also utilized the spa and it was fantastic but by no means cheap. I even forgot some jewelry in the room and the attendant saved it for me at lost and found. I was disappointed with the buffet though. It wasn't appetizing at all. The things I chose seemed to be a bit flavorless. There is a small pastry counter by the elevators that had the most fantastic cookies. They make a breakfast sandwich with sausage that was also really delicious. If you have never visited be sure to sign up for their rewards card and get a $10 meal at the buffet on any day but Tuesday or Thursday. They have a casino app to help you earn discounts on services as well.

Always go to play a little & eat alot at the buffet. They have all you can eat lobster on Tuesday's & Thursday's from 4pm to closing. You need to get there early or you will have to wait in line to get in. They have a variety of food choices and plenty of pastries to choose from. The food and service is great, ask your server for some of their better items & they can give some great insight to better choices.

I really enjoy going to Pala for the seafood buffet but I wish it was not so expensive. I go enough to try and get some points to build my card up but it has not happened in the 6years I've been going. The staff is always friendly and the air quality is good too unlike other casinos where the smoke is so heavy. Always a pleasure being there.

Went in for some dinner. Decided on their Cafe. 1. They have a "South Philly Cheese Steak." As someone who grew up in Philly, it's bad enough that people list bell peppers in their regular "Philly Cheese Steaks." But to call it a "South Philly Cheese Steak," like you know that's what people eat in South Philly and to still include bell peppers? Sounds like an under creative cooking management. The lady got a ceaser wrap that was dry. I got a burger that was under cooked. Honestly, I could have gotten that same exact meal, except cooked correctly at 1000 other restaurants.

Went into Pala on Tuesday for their lobster themed buffet at Choices. It shares many items with its regular Buffet but the lobster theme can be found in the following items: Canadian lobster tails, Maine Lobster, lobster bisque, lobster pasta, Lobster Pizza, Lobster ravioli (with lobster sauce). The Canadian lobster tails and Maine Lobster were all split in half. With the Maine Lobster they serve you the entire half Lobster. With the Canadian lobster tails you only get the tail. Both are steamed and there's plenty of clarified butter. The Canadian lobster tails average about three-and-a-half to four and a half inches. The half Maine Lobster served with head included averages 8 - 10 inches.

We went to the buffet for my sister's birthday. The food was absolutely delicious. The food was better than the most of the buffets in Vegas. The crab legs and lobster tails seemed fresh and full of meat. Make sure and check when they serve crab and lobster as they do not serve them everyday. They also had a large variety of delicious desserts. The dinner cost $46 per person but worth trying at least once especially for a special occasion.

Pala casino is my favorite casino. They have a spacious smoking area. My grandchildren loves to stay in their hotel during summer, swimming in the pool and they love their food. The hotel workers are nice and friendly. I just hope that they can give us free lobster buffet sometimes and let us win sometimes like Valley View casino. The only problem with Valley View, we can't bring our grandchildren . Thank you!

I go to Pala Casino Spa & Resort every couple of months to meet my best friend of 54 years. We have been going there for a few years. It is so fun to go back and find that our servers for room service are the same ones and they remember us. We celebrate our birthdays there and when we go to our rooms there is always a Happy Birthday banner on our wall from Pala. We have fun playing the slot machines whether it is the smoking or non smoking. The staff is super friendly and they will go out of their way to make sure that our stay is a great one. From the time we make our reservations, to pulling into to the hotel casino valet parking, to having our luggage delivered to our room, to bartenders, food servers and checking out it is great!! We have never complained about any staff member because there is nothing to complain about. I highly recommend that you come and see for yourself. The pool is always nice too! Thank you Pala!

We came in for the Pala buffet but unfortunately had to wait in a 2 hour line. The buffet was fulfilling but mediocre if we factored in the price, wait, and drive. On the other hand, their dessert menu was phenomenal. Ice cream, pies, cakes, fondue and more. If I was to consider revisiting, it would be under different circumstances. 3/5 stars.

We had a good time the last time we went to the Pala Casino. First thing that impressed me was an employee road up on his bicycle and guided us to the best place for us to park our motorcycle. The restrooms were large enough so that there was no waiting. Ther was a full-time attendant so it was spotless. Inside the casino there were lots slot machines to choose from. There was also lots of attendants to help us. We had a great time.

Went strictly for the lobster buffet on a Thursday evening. Met family there who had gotten a spot in line and hour before. Fast forward an additional 2.5 hours of walking around and feeding the slot machines a piece of my paycheck, we were summoned to the cashier to pay before being seated. Buffet is worth the $45 if you are a fan of lobster, crab legs and prime rib if you can manage to eat it all in one sitting. As far as the rest of the property, casino is like most other Indian Reservation casinos, with a few extra points bx their live band was good at their renditions of current top 40 and a few good classics.

I have long considered this one of the better places to play poker in San Diego County. However, on my last visit, I was surprised to see a mostly empty room on a Saturday evening. There were two 1-3 games going, and my table had two prop players (people working for the casino who are there to fill a seat). It's still a nice room, and the staff was friendly and competent, but I don't know where the business has gone. Maybe it was just an off night, or there is a big promotion going on at another casino and the players will come back once it's over. I hope they turn it around because I enjoy playing there and I'd hate to see the room get replaced by a bunch of slot machines.
