Station building is pretty, the SunRail tracks are obviously in good condition. Amtrak platform is from a lower level but do it's work. Loading speed for Amtrak however should be upgraded.

For its age it's better than one would expect. Still pretty clean however.
Parking is terrible. Few spaces, even with metered parking on street. Drop and go I guess.
There is but one vendor there. No other places to rest or wait on a train.

Not only was I dissatisfied with this particular station but my oerall amtrak experience. The station was very dated (no screens inside or on the platform) and the bathrooms were cleaner than some gas station bathrooms but still pretty nasty. The people in the station were very sketchy looking and you could tell they were close to or below the poverty line. My train kept getting delayed (currently 3 hours and counting) and we were getting no explanation. Finally we went to refund my ticket and asked what exactly the issue was and were told the southbound train was slow on passing our train (apparently 3 hours slow???). This is the first time I have ever booked with amtrak and it didnt make a very good first impression. You would think with something so time sensitive they would try and prevent major delays. Just stick to driving folks.

Relaxing ride from Miami to Orlando. While I didn't take in the scenery (if there was any), the seats were comfortable. It was like going on an airplane except there is SO much leg room, the seats go back more than the plane, and free WiFi.

Trying to get through to the front desk, by calling them so I can check the lost and found. I've called over 40 times and I have only been answered once and that person immediately hung up on me. I know I have the correct phone number so I don't know what's the deal.

Was told by customer service i could come here and my husband could pay for my ticket over the phone. I approached the window to be insulted and disrespected and embarrassed by an older women Sharon she came from the counter and shoved a paper from the wall into my face. I contacted the 800 # again and was given a 3rd story to hear. My husband the whole time was able to purchase my ticket the whole time and i wouldnt of had to be treated the way i was. The bus driver is very nice and the trip to Fort myers i hope is peaceful. Will always purchase a ticket from 800 # to save myself Any more disrespect or embarrassment from there employees at the Orlando station.

I did love the Amtrak service though there are some minor difficulties I faced some traveling on the California bound train from Chicago. all other train and services were good throughout the country and I would say expensive for a budget traveler line me .

    Speaking on the customer service.
Talked to a reservation agent Saturday about missing my train and was told to call back during the week to talk to Customer Relations who are only open on the weekdays. They can then assist me with a ticket voucher to use my already purchased ticket on a different date. When I called Customer Relations they were unable to help me, told me that there was nothing they could do, that I got false information, that my ticket is now in forfeit status because of the time that has passed and that the agent I spoke to could have actually issued this voucher. Oh and that there was no supervisor that I could talk to.
All agents should be trained and well informed with the correct information for perfect customer satisfaction.
