This place was horrible. An African American family visited this restaurant on Monday, Dec 4th and i witnessed verbal abuse as a bigot customer was upset that the family was dining there. He was a Caucasian who slandered the family because of their race. The family was there for over an hour and it was not packed and was seated to the back of the restaurant and still did not receive their dinner.The family was told that the manager was not on staff and it was simply horrible. Because the guy was a regular and very wealthy, it was not okay for the family to be treated with so much disrespect. The small children were being ridiculed because of the color of their skin due to them making noise. He called the children bastards and brats. He said that the Vinings community did not want blacks there because they are going to make America white again! No one on staff apologized to the family and I will never patronize this place. It simply saddens me. I pray for that family who remained so humble and still remained calm through it all. Management sucks!

My first experience at Orient Express was great! The food was amazing! The staff was great! The cooks for hibachi were very interactive! I will definitely be going back!

A co-worker helped me with this review because I have mixed feeling but now I know what the issue isif you order food "to go" or to the "delivered" is barely so-so but if you opt to dine-in the restaurant it's an entirely different experience. People order from my office, which is near by, so I join in and each time I've been disappointed and tossed most of the food in the trash. A friend wanted Sushi and this place is near by so before I could explain that the food isn't that good, we were in the parking lot. I was shocked because once we got seated and I began talking about my experience with the place we almost got up and left but then the food came! SUPRISINGLY the food was good! So it goes from 2 Stars to 4 Stars!

Great food, excellent service and lots of choices from the hibachi, a sushi and a Chinese restaurant all within the same location. Definitely worth trying them all. Parking can be challenging but just be patient.

Service and food practices should probably shut them down. Chef applied butter to fish on live counter later to realize he applied too much. So instead of taking extra butter off the fish and putting in trash he decided to take the extra butter off the fish and put it back in the pan. Also we had ordered vegetarian hibachi, so instead of giving us the food first he prepared meat first and used the same serving spoon (without cleaning) to serve us our veggies. Several people on the table didn't like all of this and complained and the server instead of saying sorry asked one person who did not voice her opinion if she also had any problems? :-0. Not going back there anytime soon.

I love this place. I have been extremely pleased with all 3 options (Hibachi, Sushi, Chienese). Plus, it's just a really cool location.

I always enjoy Hibachi but if that isn't your taste they also have traditional Chinese and Japanese Cuisine. Building is an old train car situated at the Paces Ferry Train track crossing. Nostalgic.

I've been here a few times and had different experiences each time - ranging from average to great. Service is the most inconsistent factor but the food is pretty solid. Location/character are unique.

Juan (the cook) & Ms. Kim was Great Very Accommodating & Attentive to our Party the atmosphere was Nice and Mature. Food was good from the Sushi Bar & Hibachi. Will try the Chinese next time.

The sushi was good. They have a lot of options: sushi, Chinese, hibachi. Also good vegetarian and vegan options. But the service was lackluster. I felt rushed to order and then rushed to finish and leave, in a restaurant that was not even close to being full. Stayed around a bit longer to chat with a friend. Left a bigger tip because I did. Kind of regret that now. Very cute decor. On the fence about coming back.

The atmosphere is amazing. Upon arrival, you think you're walking into a vintage train car. Then everything opens up into three separate Asian offerings. Sushi, hibachi and Chinese food all in one place! The hibachi is always delicious and entertaining for the family. I have never gone solely to dine on sushi but what I have ordered, has been very good. And the Chinese foodIT WILL RUIN ALL OTHER CHINESE FOOD FOR YOU! Seriously..it's that good! My only complaint is that a few members of the hibachi wait staff seem short and unfriendly. As though serving you is tedious and not a part of their job. Otherwise, this would be a 5 star review. I highly recommend this placeeven if you can only go once. If cost is a concern to you, stick with the Chinese menu. You won't be disappointed. If you're craving hibachi on a budget, the lunch menu is adequately priced however I believe the newer chefs work lunch so the cooking "show" isn't as entertaining.like no onion volcanoes.

The food is really good but the friendliness of the workers and servers is low for the amount of money you are spending here! The kids menu is 8 and under. My 10 year olds food costs $28. Our bill for a family of three was $147. For that I expect my servers to be friendly and smile. The service was very stiff and cold and they made it clear it was time to go once the cook finished his cooking. They took our food up before we were even finished eating. Not cool. I was not impressed. This is on the hibachi side.
