Love the daily range deals, great customer service. Only come when it's not busy because of all the amateurs I see on "date night" for example. Had a SUPERIOR customer service experience one time where someone overheard the counter help stumbling to help me, and later someone, maybe the manager, met me on the range and made everything right. Even better than right, they made my experience GREAT! What a great thing to do. This is the range I visit most when I'm not headed out to the private club in Waterman, IL.

A range with specials? Genius. I live closer to another range that I won't name (rhymes with rat runs) but on target has hit the bullseye. On Fridays and Tuesdays two people can share a lane for $20. Holster draw nights are also a huge plus. I'd be a member if I weren't already a member of an outdoor range.

Great Modern Range! I always BZO iron sights and Optics for my rifles, at this range. You can take your time and feel relaxed. There are long waits for shooting lanes, but it's local. Range Safety Officers are professional.

My favorite place to shoot! Friendly staff, absolutely spotless facilities. Shooting areas are clean, well lot, well ventilated, and the digital range controls make setting targets a snap.
Not usually too crowded, and if there is a wait they have a nice seating area with TV and refreshments available. Easily the cleanest range in the area.response / report this review -

Been to on target several times and can't say enough good things about this place. I've had my two daughters their ages 13 and 17 and they keep asking me when we're going back. The staff from upper management all the way down there so helpful and friendly with the kids. I've also brought my 4 year old boy there not to shoot just to get him around and used to guns. The guys and girls behind the counter and so probably at least 30 questions with so much patience and give me a much needed break LOL after all that I was looking around the store and upper management people came down at different times and they both stopped and took time to talk to him and my daughters. I know this is a really long review but normally don't even leave reviews for any place but I had such an awesome experience every time I've been here I thought other people might want to know. A++++ for on target they will be getting on my business for sure. Joe

I enjoy the range and they seem to have the equipment and essentials you need for any maintenance, customization, etc of your firearm(s). They price very fairly in regards to ammunition and range time, but Illinois seems to be a seller's market in terms of firearms, so they're prices on firearms seem to be on par for the rest of northern Illinois. My only complaint is the subtle arrogance the counter staff displays, especially in regards to more vetted staff. Instead of being a learning environment, the staff has a tendency to be "know-it-all" almost in a passive way, however it may be towards me due to my age as I'm a fairly young shooting enthusiast. Regardless the way they present themselves to me always seems to be a hurry to get me in and out and that any questions I have seem to be rhetorical to them. This reflects a few of the counter staff, especially Bob, who I've always felt like I have had a negative experience with. For the most part, newer staff members seem to genuinely want to engage customers and assist them with any issues that may arise. I have had good experiences here, but the bad experiences have definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. I have plans on attending a concealed carry class and that experience will ultimately decide whether I want to continue to invest my time and money in a company that seems to be geared towards their more "regular" clientele.

This is a quick review as I previously wrote a longer review on another site praising this place. OnTarget is my preferred range. Good staff who are friendly and helpful. High standards of safety are maintained here. Ranges are clean and well ventilated. Good variety for rentals.

Great place to go shooting. It has two ranges (rifle and pistol), a decent selection of firearms to purchase or rent, and a fair amount of merchandise / other gear that you can also buy.
The classes offered here seem to be the best perk, I'm always seeing events that they are hosting for a variety of ages and experience.

Awesome!, Instructors Mike and Susan were great especially when I messed up on actual date and time for gun couples class. Mike and Susan were gracious to give my girlfriend and I, a personal/private 2hr class especially since my girlfriend is from out of town and leaving soon.
It was great! We learned a lot, very professional, exciting, we couldn't stop talking about our day at On Target. Thanks Mike and Susan. Definitely be back for other classes.response / report this review -

Fantastic Range and Training Center. Very clean range with superior ventilation system. Both 50yd rifle and 25yd pistol with digital range distance. Super knowledgeable staff, free rentals on Mondays (with valid F.O.I.D.) so you can try out guns before purchase. Many classes to choose from as either a first time novice, or a seasoned shooter looking for some tactical training or home defense training- they have it all.
