Usually a great place, we've been frequenting this establishment for years and always had mostly positive experiences. I tried to place a to-go order the other night and was told by the manager that they were too busy(a full restaurant and a 30 minute wait) to make 2 sides of cheese fries for our meals we ordered. We order the same thing every time and do a lot of to-go orders but felt by the rude tone of the manager that we had inconvenienced them by even calling and placing a to go order. Will be supporting other local pubs and breweries in the area over this one from now on and definitely not recommending anymore.
Lots of beers on tap, cozy environment, has a weekly live Jazz arrangement. For lunches, I recommend the Buffalo Bill with mozzarella and onions. Has occasional bad pizzas or mixed drinks, depending on the cooks, but usually pretty reliable. The Station across the tracks has a shop for wine and beer, if you don't find what you want to drink here. All in all, a good place to kick back if you're new in town or just passing by after work.
This is my favorite pub around. The wait staff are always friendly and pleasant, the drinks are delicious, and the food is always spectacular. I've ordered different things on the menu and everything is delicious. It will always be my favorite place to eat and have some good beer.
Red Lager and Double hops were tasty suggestions from on tap home brews. Hickory BBS and Portabella Mushroom sandwiches we're the best. I spilled my beer ALL over and 3 staff swiftly cleaned making me feel welcome and not a problem. Again GREAT lunch spot
Always love the food. Always great craft beer on tap. This place just always has trouble keeping wait staff and sometimes you can feel it, but they always serve well.
This has quickly become our go-to place in Hickory. The food is outstanding, well portioned and served in a friendly manner. They have a terrific selection of local brews and the full small-town feel.
Amazing service, spectacular food, and delicious drinks. I've had some of the best fish and chips States side at great Irish pubs but the fish and chips here was to die for! Hand battered and fresh made chips. Drinks were yummy and inexpensive. Definitely worth the trip.
Food was good and the service was good. 4 and 1/2 stars. I had a Reuben and fries. It was good, a nice filling sandwich. The tea was fresh made and the waitress was polite but not in our face. Our group had a good time. We would all go back for more
Love the atmosphere here! Laid back and lots of choices. The food never disappoints and has a great beer selection. We loved that it was close to shops but still felt unique.
Absolutely fantastic food and a fantastic beer selection! The service was phenomenal. Loved it.
I had the chicken fried chicken with potatoes. The meal was great! The server was not very helpful: she didn't know much about the beers, messed up the beer orders and didn't know which were which, was VERY slow on refilling water, and very pushy about desert (even after the third time saying no thanks). Good food, but poor service. I think this is only for the specific server and not the restaurant as a whole.
I loved the place. Friendly everyone. I just wish that music every Friday, Hickory Alive. That is when I came. I don't drink beer. I drink top shelf alcohol. I ate there very delicious. Great atmosphere. Miss going.
Always delicious always on time and great beer. I try a different beer each time and it never gets old. Burgers are top notch cooked perfectly. Great atmosphere too. Come when rick is jamming also.
The food is excellent, especially the beer cheese. Wish I could give this a 5 star ratingbut the manager is awful. He really puts a damper on the entire experience. He walks around the establishment always looking upset and has been personally rude to my family. We eat here about once a week, but I am seriously considering not returning because of him. It's really too bad, most restaurants take customer service & customer loyalty more serious. This guy just needs to be in a different industry. He is not a people person and has no place in the service industry at all! Otherwisestop by and get the big bird with fries and the best beer cheese in townjust get it to go, so you don't have to have any dealings with the super rude manager!
