Was a part of a showcase at this venue (presented by RAW Artists Indianapolis) and it was a great experience. I've also been to several concerts at this venue. The sound is always good and they have a full bar!

The concert was in the Egyptian Room - general seating, standing only. Those with disabilities were to buy a general admission ticket and request special seating at the venue. The"special seating" was a tight corner to the front of the stage, far left - next to a huge stack of speakers and with limited view of the stage at all, due to the crowd standing in front of where the disabled folks were stuck. It was terrible. One man in a wheelchair opted to stay with the general audience and, of course, couldn't see anything. The crowd hoisted him up IN HIS WHEELCHAIR and crowd-surfed him to the front. Lead singer, Pete, of Chevelle, told them to bring him backstage for the rest of the concert, which was so very kind after a well-meaning but dangerous act. There needs to be better accommodations for those with disabilities. It was the worst possible seating in the house for those whose lives are already difficult - who have to pay physically for wanting to get out to have a little enjoyment in life and aren't able to even see the show. Very disappointed with this venue. I hope my favorite band rethinks booking with The Old National Center next time they come to Indy. Just unthinkable treatment of the disabled - which could easily be remedied with a little thought and organization.

Nice old theater. Feels like a piece of Indianapolis history. Every seat in the place has a good view. The seats are really small though. And getting in and out of them can be difficult once the show starts

Parking around the venue isn't bad. I've come here for a Broadway show, stand up comedian, and concerts. Sound is good, employees are usually friendly. Don't like that during the stand up show they just shoved a bunch of folding chairs into the room and we were sitting like sardines.

I saw the Broadway production of "A Christmas Story". Our seats were in the very back and did not have an issue seeing or hearing any part of the show. The bar staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Drinks/cocktails/snacks were inexpensive.

The Egyptian Room is easily the coolest indoor venue Indianapolis has to offer. The sound is good, there's a lot of room, and if you're short like I am, you can for the most part see the stage from the back if you don't want to be up front.

Pretty organized venue. Checked IDs in line before entering, maybe 15 minutes outside in line. The reserved event parking was worth it. Pretty impressed with the first visit. Saw Sylvan Esso in the Egyptian Room, good show, nice venue.

This is one of my favorite event venues! I love the unique rooms. It's great for seeing up and coming artists! I always have a great time here.

Fun venue to go see a show. I've enjoyed shows in both the Egyptian Room and the Murat Room. Most recently saw Future Islands there in the Egyptian Room (pictured) which is standing room only (unless you pay extra for a table on the side). Bathrooms leave much to be desired and I wouldn't pay for food there but if you're just interested in seeing a show then this is a nice place to see the kinds of acts and entertainers that come through.

Excellent venue for seeing concerts and having a night out. We saw Chris Rock and had a great experience; I also liked the forced phone lockup so you weren't looking at the back of someone's screen the entire night. However, bathrooms were a major bottleneck at this venue. Drinks and snacks were available but pretty basic/sugary. However, the location allowed for fairly efficient outflow of people at the end of the event.

The sound quality was amazing. Standing only venue but still worth it. The bar had amazing drinks and everyone in the staff was really friendly.

Good place to see a show, but I have noticed a trend on the last few visits. Young pretty girls that get to the show late, sometimes try to muscle their way to the front. They have started to drag security into this recently. I have personally witnessed this twice. They will try to push by, get turned down and go get security and tell them they guy was being inappropriate, and they drag him out for her. He misses the show, they get an upgraded spot. There may be other times this has happened, but I can only speak of the two times I saw it happen right next to me.
I will probably not be returning, it isn't worth the risk of missing a show that I paid to see. Could apply to women too but men are for sure are at a disadvantage here. Visit at your own risk, or just give up your spot every time someone asks. Could be you next time.response / report this review -

Man, I love this music venue. I've seen some shows here Over the years I saw a lot of concerts and I worked for Live Nation for a while. Saw a lot of concerts that way, too. What a great venue. If walls could talk

Went to see Who's Live Is It Anyways. Cool old theater. The sound wasn't very good and the seating was very tight. I would recommend not bringing food into the theater as there is no room to hold it or put it once your have finished.

We saw our 2nd Cold War Kids concert here. The first was @ The Vogue. The Egyptian Room was awesome. Plenty of "standing room only" and everyone put up with my dancing. Convenient beverage vendor stands near the stage, so I didn't miss a beat. Glad I didn't order the VIP table seats, because the floor wasn't crowded for a Sunday co concert & we stayed in front the whole time. Will return
