One of my favorite places to visit! I've been twice. The first time was the town's festival. There were so many vendors from all over. It was fun meeting new people. The park is beautiful and there's tons of places to hike and bike! The main trail can be traveled to other cities. The park might not be for people scared of bridges/heights. Most of the trails near the water are connected by bridges high off of the ground. The town is nice and quaint. I LOVE getting jarred goods from there (the jalapeño raspberry jam is worth the drive). There's good food and a couple activities (bike rental, mini golf, etc) in the town as well.

I love this place. It has a great small town feel considering it's a big tourist attraction. There are beautiful views everywhere from camping, waterfalls, hiking and of course the river. I've been camping there multiple times and I'll definitely keep going there. The general store there has good food, free WiFi (which is great because if you have T-Mobile your signal is nonexistent) and plenty of other amenities in the area.

Great trails. Make sure to look at the local water levels before planning a hike along the river. The trails can be slippery or under water. Dogs are welcome while leased. Safe place to hike alone as well.

Fern cliff peninsula was beautiful! Easy hiking and wonderful views. The visitor and nature center are incredibly informative. We stayed in the yurts but heating was a little bit temperamental and it got too hot.

Nestled in the mountains of southwest Pennsylvania Ohiopyle Star Park has plenty to offer anyone who loves the outdoors. The park has a wonderful waterfall, a little fast moving stream that people slide down in the summer, and kayak and whitewater rafting by professional guides. There is a small quaint town with a couple mom and pop general stores, a few restaurants, a local adventure photographer, and a small pro shop for some of your adventure needs. The also has beautiful scenery and trails for walking or biking abound. There is also at least one walking bridge that crosses over a gorge. I would highly recommend this park for a day-trip or weekend camping excursion with the family.

I love this park, so much to see and do. The campground is nicely laid out. The only knit pick, the bathroom could use updating. The men's room was missing a toilet! But they had hot water and privacy.

Great for all kinds of white water sports. Good place to start a ride on the C&O lots of good places to eat. Just a general overall good place there's also places to camp. I've had many wonderful times here.

one of the most beautiful natural outdoor areas around. Can always find a place to hike, or use the awesome flat smooth bike trail to visit neighboring towns of Connellsville (16 mile west) or confluence (9.5 mile east) Loved the rafting earlier in summer. #waterfalls too!

Absolutely amazing. Had such a great time exploring, camping, swimming, and tons more. The walled cabin we stayed in had bunk beds. It didn't say that anywhere on the site but it was a great perk. This park is so well maintained. The bathrooms were very clean, with hot water, and nothing scary . The grounds were spotless and beautiful. Can't wait to go back.

Beautiful state park! Plenty of fun with swimming at cucumber falls, rafting, bicycling, and hiking! Staff at welcome center was very friendly and helpful. Great little town with restaurants and shops. Falls were beautiful, water was clear, and everything was well maintained. Highly recommend cucumber falls picnic area for a great secluded spot away from the sometimes busy falls to hang out, eat, and play in the creak!

The park area is very well maintained. There are lots of activities to participate such as rafting, kayaking, biking, zip-lining and so on. The natural water slide was an absolute fun for me. I would to visit this place again some time.

Even though most of the shops were already closed it was beautiful and a very nice place to go. Our company from out of town loved the falls.

Nice visitors center with a great view of the falls. Parking can be a little tough. Quaint little crossroads.

The most beautiful place on the planet, in my book. But, I'm a native Southwestern Pennsylvanian, so I'm a little bit biased.
If you come by to see the beauty, yourself, please remember to respect the natural environment and dispose of trash properly also don't wear flip-flops or you'll get hurt. Water-shoes are best for getting the most out of the natural wonders in Ohiopyle State Park.

Very nice state park. There's a long, scenic path overlooking the river and a great visitor's center by the waterfall. There is also a rail trail within walking distance. We parked near the trail and walked across the street for lunch and then wandered through the park for about an hour before returning to our car. Makes for a great day trip if you live nearby.
