The ladies that work at this station are just plain lazy! I needed to check my suitcase I was the only person in the station because I was 10 mins late she would not check my bag. All that she had to do was put a tag on it, turn around , and place it on the cart!!

On two other occasions I saw this same person being rude to other passengers. If I could I would never use this station. Unfortunately I have no choice.

I have taken the Coaster from Oside to Solana 5 days a week for 2 1/2 years. Once the track and station improvements beganso did the problems. Mechanical issues with the trains and signal issues on the tracks. It is getting bad. Also there are a lot of sketchy people who hang out here. It was nice to see the Oside PD here this morning patrollingits definitely needed.

There is no information regarding what platform Amtrak uses unless you go to the rude office agent when it's open. People are lost, asking one another, and running for the train. It's a long way to the right platform due to construction and as far as service from Amtrak at Oceanside, you are on your own because they don't care

The station is okay. If you don't know where you're going it's a little hard to find someone to help you out. The Amtrak and the Coaster come to this station. So you really have to pay attention to which track is operating which train. The fares are really reasonably priced for the Coaster. We haven't tried Amtrak yet. Although there is plenty of parking it can fill up fast. The Coaster ride is a really nice scenic ride, and when you get off at Oceanside (the last northbound stop for the Coaster) you can go walk the pier.

There has been times where They(securities ) have stopped the sprinter. With no reason. Which sometimes worries me. Everything else is great.

I ride the Coaster from this station to work every day. The station is clean and well-maintained and parking is close and readily available weekday mornings. A note on parking during the week--there is a weekly market in Oceanside nearby the train station every Thursday evening, and folks like to park in the station parking structure for it. Therefore parking is very scarce Thursday evenings for the train, so plan to get there early if you need a spot around that time (the market starts at 5pm).
