The best luxury oceanfront suite hotel on Saint Simons Island. Love the view from my roof top restaurant. Must try the Mussels McDonough! Staff is friendly and fabulous!

Beautiful oceanfront views. Had a great time visiting St. Simon's Island. The beach was beautiful and the water was the perfect temperature while we were there in September.

My fiancee and I booked our reservation for this place for the weekend of September 15th and due to the hurricane, we were not able to travel. After speaking with the "manager" Norma Jean, we were told that it wouldn't be an issue getting a full refund because the cause for the hurricane was out of both parties control. It's been three weeks and we still haven't been able to get our refund. We call every single day and haven't been able to get anyone to return our call. The receptionists have all claimed to be passing along our messages (when they did decide to answer our call- yes, they have caller ID) and numerous voicemails have been left. We have even asked for the owner several times and still no luck. We are out almost $800 and are left with no choice but to take Ocean Lodge to Court in which they will lose more. I'm giving this review one star because it's the only way to get the review on here. I just want to warn anyone who maybe thinking of staying here. Don't judge a book by it's cover.

Stunningly beautiful hotel with an amazing staff. Ocean Lodge offers the ultimate southern hospitality experience with a classy Georgia flare. This weary lady needed to get away and enjoy some alone time with God and Ocean Lodge was an answered prayer for the perfect setting.
Impeccable décor throughout the property combined with beautiful ocean views lends way to a perfect St. Simons Island getaway.
Ocean Lodge's staff is made up of the most precious, loving group of individuals who all perform their duties with excellence. I felt like I was with family. Ray, Gloria, Jackie and Joe (owner) made my stay a joyful experience.response / report this review -

This place was wonderful, free bikes and beach chairs! My experience was so great I enjoyed St. Simons and to go back to this hotel everyday was the cherry on top, it felt as if I was at my own house not a hotel room. I did not go to the restaurant because the reviews were pretty bad so I can't say but the overall experience was one we will remember. Thank you!

We've had two experiences here. First was fabulous, providing a great place for girls day out lunch. The view is to die for. The second was a horrible evening meal with out of state guests. But the view didn't change.It remains to die for. Hoping they get the evening staff up to par because it is an awesome atmosphere and a place we would return to.

This place deserves so many words! We absolutely loved our stay. The beach is a very short walk from the property. The parking lot is below the building and is protected. There is beautiful landscaping and the facilities were very clean.
Our room was very spacious and we'll equipped. Large refrigerator and microwave oven. The bed was comfortable and the TWO bathrooms were very nice.response / report this review
