Turned me around at the door because I traveled with my Passport as a form of Photo ID and not a state ID! Ray, this vey arragant worker told me the reason for the policy is because they cater to foreigners not Americans. What a racist and discriminatory statement to make! I booked on Art Basel weekend when all Americans are in Miami and every other hotel is booked up. Claims there’s no other employees to talk to.

It's not the best hostel in Miami but it is a great value. Sure the rooms and other parts of the place can use an upgrade but overall I found it to be okay. As long as you abide by the simple rules, you will be fine. Bunk beds in the 12 person dorm was a little tight but manageable. Personally, I'd recommend staying in a 4 person or 8 if your budget allows it. The kitchen is just a basic setup with plates and utensils with two microwaves and a big fridge to store your food. In each room you will be assigned a locker but you must be sure to bring your own padlock. You also receive a towel, which can be exchanged after two days use.

called to make reservations. very rude and arrogant female on other end of phone. could not hsve a calm conversation with her. i ended up telling her i will pass on staying there and hanging up on her. if they are gonna be like that on phone with me makes me think they will be worse if i stay there.

Awesome place for quiet nights close to the beach. The breakfast is always pancakes with coffee.

The staff I met so far is uninterested and hostile. There is no functional airco and there are no keys for lockers, so you have to bring it yourself. Beds seems to be okay. I'm glad I'm only sleeping here. Worst hostel staff since years. :(

FYI, I've read the reviews days ago and despite that, I went to check the place personally to complete a booking and take advantage of a good rate. First stepped in, felt the negative vibe and hostile attitude from a disgraced Customer service staff: unwelcoming, rude and disrespectful . Place looks dirty and uninhabitable. "When cheap can be expensive"

Very bad service and rude. They were unpolite all the time except when they wanna sell you something.
Bad and uncomfortable beds. There were cockroach in the room.
They close the kitchen at 11. You can not speak, drink or listen to music after 11. Boring place.
If you want to have a great time and party, this is not the place.

Common area feels dirty and no good vibes. No charger/lights at each hostel bed. Blanket is nothing but bedsheets (blanket requires ID wtf). Locker had no lock (had to buy my own). No WiFi in room. Staff were very very unfriendly. Activities are lame so I ended up going to other hostel parties.

So i stayed here and the location was great! I saw that someone put they had bed bugs and decided to give it a try myself, when I walked into my room with 8 beds I turn the light on in the room and roaches start running across the floor, then I start searching the sheets for bugs and saw blood spots on there mattresses. So I tried to stay out as long as possible so that I didn't have to sleep there too long , I slept with the lights​ on scared roaches were going to crawl on me, then whe
n I woke up I look down at the bed and there it is a live bed bug walking where I was just laying down, I go to front desk and ask him to walk back to my room with me so they can see this, he acted like he barely spoke English and I just laughed at him and he laughed back ! IF YOU LOOK ON YELP YOU WILL SEE THE PICTURES OF THE LIVE BED BUGS AND MY SCARS TO PROVE IT,,,,, THIS WAS IN APRIL 17

Positive: great location walkable to parks and beaches; price is ok and bathroom in dorm.
Negative: room has bad smell and mattress is uncomfortable; poor sound insulation - people talking and laughing loud at quiet hours that woke me up several times; sheet is too thin and pillowcase is not clean; staff not patient or respectful; shower is very cold.
Generally had a fair stay but the unfriendly customer service ruined it all.response / report this review
