I've been to numerous really nice steakhouses, but the Oakwood Club is by far my favorite. Everything is always cooked to perfection and the staff they have is amazing.
Lance Stewart makes this a classic dining experience you won't want to forget! The main dishes are superb and he even makes the onion soup and bread are legendary.
Great food with great ambiance. Upscale, BUT for the money hard to beat! Entree w/salad, bread, and two tasty sides! Complete meal with lots of flavor!
Terrible service and terrible food. The waitress I had was extremely rude and not attentive. The inside needs some serious upgrades. My food came out wrong and when I told the waitress she rolled her eyes and acted like it was my fault. My steak had a ton of fat on it. For being in Oakwood I thought this place would be good, but it was far from that. I would rather have a steak from Texas Roadhouse. Save your money and time and go somewhere else.
Long time staff strikes the right balance of friendly and professional. Great bar staff. Great cocktails. The owner oversees everything and cuts the steaks himself!
From out of town and looking for a place to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Googled non chain restaurants and found this place. Food and service where great and very tasty. Decor a little dated, but added to the character. Will be back next time I am in town. Don't forget to ask about the chocolate martinis (maybe a different name) well worth every dollar spent. And they are open late. 2 thumbs up
Nice and cozy atmosphere and great service. A long standing upper tier eatery with good steaks, seafood and appetizers. Above everything they have one of the area's best cheeseburgers. A must try
The wife and I came here for our anniversary and had a great time. They didn't take reservations because it was just the two of us, but we planned on drinks at the bar anyways So not an issue for us. Great cocktails to start the night. Then a classic high quality steakhouse experience for our dinner. And we actually enjoyed the 'nostalgic' ambiance, including the clientele. Keep it up OC
This place was built in 1962 and it shows. The decor, food, and clientele haven't changed. My wife and I went there for our anniversary based on the great reviews. The food is exactly what my grandmother would have eaten - basically Shoneys recipes with better starting ingredients. We're used to dropping $100 or more for a meal, but we expect something to be mildly tasty for that price. If you like your food, I'd steer to another joint. Most disappointing as we just moved nearby. That said, the service was great and the place was clean. We did like the bar.
Very good fried chicken, which is hard to find in Vallejo. The side dishes were just fair (they were out of lima beans and pinto beans). But you put up with weak side dishes just to get the chicken.
5+ stars! Our favorite restaurant in the Dayton area. Fantastic cocktails, nice wine list, great people watching. Food is always good and service is top notch. Fresh oysters! The Filet MIgnon is the best item on the menu, and has a signature crust from their secret seasoning. Not like the fancy chains who serve steaks marinated in nitrates and have guests wearing baseball caps. Love, love it!
Great atmosphere, great food. My prime rib was fantastic and my wife loved the pork chops and stewed tomatoes. I heard the onion soup is the best in Dayton. Service was impeccable.
Lots of street taco options and other food items. Choice of inside or outside dining. Rather small parking lot given the number of customers. Loved the cilantro rice.
The Oakwood Club is the best restaurant in the Dayton area. The steaks and everything else the serve is simply the best. One of the nicest things about The Oakwood Club, you will never feel you are being hurried out of the restaurant. We love this place.
