Great place to stay, conveniently located at a 10 min walk from Grand Central terminal and maybe a 20 min brisk walk to broadway and Times Square. Getting to the subway at Grand central will take you anywhere in Manhattan and out of the island too. Near the hotel is all embassies since it’s right across from the UN, so not many restaurants. Decent restaurants are about 10-15 min walking distance - recommend 3rd and 9th Ave and Times Square. Midtown is not known for many restaurants - although you can get anywhere from there. Staff is friendly. Room was quite big and with beautiful views. Had issue that hadn’t been resolved with a charge I didn’t make will update if unsatisfactory. The hotel restaurant is a good bar, but it is overpriced and overrated as a restaurant itself. Good place for some laughs and drinks at night though. Overall great place to stay.

Terrific Hilton property, located right across the street from the United Nations (and very close to other Manhattan attractions). Friendly staff, willing to accommodate my special requests (Not including the bellhops except 2. Forgot their names, but they are not there nights or weekends, so you'll notice the difference in treatment. Those 2 are great). Great views. Nice rooms. Only downsides were the parking (My Chevy Malibu rental was charged as an "oversized vehicle" base rate of $80/nite.), and the common area carpets could use cleaning. Still, I would recommend this location.

What a pleasant experience from start to end! The friendliest hotel staff we've encountered at any NY hotel over many years. The hotel is clean and the room is clean, well equipped, quite, with fantastic views. Location is a little out of the way of busy Central Manhattan yet still walkable to all major attractions. Will definitely stay here again!

The hotel was amazing never expected this for the price especially in New York! We had amazing views, great service and very comfy beds. I would recommend requesting the city facing rooms on the west side as they're higher floors and the east side faces the Hudson/ United Nations building. Was a perfect location away from the hustle and bustle but not only a walk away from midtown! Loved my stay here!

The rooms are not bad, good staff, it has only 3 lifts, so would take sometime sometimes to get to the lobby or your room.
Good location if you have meetings at the UN or near by areas. Otherwise I wouldn't recommend it.response / report this review -

The Hotel and rooms are modern and the price was great. The rooms are clean and the service was very good. The view we had was perfect, as we were able to see part of the river and city. The location is also great, as we were within walking distance to 5th Avenue, Times Square, and Central Park. I would recommend staying here. Lastly, ignore the 2 star review of it on Yelp.

Exceptional views and service. Staff very pleasant and friendly. Rooms clean and comfortable. Only downside i was unaware of during purchase is that the hotel rooms start at floor 30.. not loving being up this high. But overall excellent place, would recommend! Check out Mona cafe across the street, its delicious!

The rooms have been recently renovated and are nice though my non-smoking room had clearly been smoked in. The views are very nice and the complementary drink is a plus. The lobby and sitting areas around it are always crowded and sometimes the elevator is complicated-especially if there's an event on the second floor. Overall not bad and a good price at 228/night

Staff were very nice and helpful. Face warm greetings and answered questions. The room was small but very nice and the bathroom was clean. Only thing was that some dirty cups were left in the room, but otherwise clean.

The place is good, but the attention we got was awful. We went there for New Year 2014 (so expensive!!), with a room booked online for 3 persons. We arrived at 10pm and they gave us a room with 1 queen bed. After more than 1 hour arguing, and 2 times they showed bigger rooms but also with only one bed, finally we got a 2 beds room. We ordered our clothes and took a shower and then surprise!: a dirty par of socks inside one of the beds!!
After another hour arguing and talking with the manager, we ended in another small room at 2:30 am, no compensation at all for the experience. Free wifi?? Free breakfast?? Bigger room?? Nothing!response / report this review -

Nice rooms but service is not on point Not kind and a bit arrogant.. Asked for the tv to be fixed and then we went out 6hours later still not fixed and the hostess that day was not sympathetic at all.

Rooms are very nicely updated, clean, and comfortable and have nice amenities. If I had anything negative to say, it would be that the lobby and hallways are dark and depressing and need to be updated and I wish it was a little closer to the more touristy parts of the city. Other than that, I was very happy with my stay and would stay here again.

Great locating next yo the U.N., with a nice cafe inside. The rooms are big and wonderful, modern, clean, and great for an extended vacation, if that's your plan. There is in-room coffee that is actually good, and a fridge if you want to keep leftovers out beer in your room.
