I really am glad to have finally stopped. This place always seemed like an interesting place to see., But never had time when driving through. It is definitely worth a stop. The candles you can purchase are delicious, love the milk chocolate coated cashew nuts. The gummy bears are also good. I will stop by again on future trips.
Great candy with decent prices. Usually very busy. They give you the opportunity to sample their candy which makes it nice for choosing what you want. Most of the employees are nice and helpful.
About a three mile detour off 65. Plenty of parking. Busier around certain holidays. Amazing array of chocolates and gummy bears. At Christmas time, there is a nice selection of ordaments and holiday decor. Worth a visit.
Great company, awesome building. Be prepared, the store is ALWAYS BUSY. It's a fun atmosphere, I love watching factory activity through the windows. Don't be afraid to ask for a sample, they are usually more than willing to let you try things. You can find factory goof-ups for a discount, and then pretty much any candy you can imagine, both items made in their facility as well as other retail items. Check out the chocolate fountain on the left as you enter.
Always busy and they have the best gummies ever!!! Haven't eaten a lot of chocolate here but I've tasted a bit and it was delicious. Awesome place to take kids for candy or get some yourself!
Do not show up hungry. And if you can leave the kids in the car you are better off. Great selection of candy and nicely decorated.
Welcome to the real life Charlie and the Chocolate factory. The free tour is short and consists of looking through windows however the vast amount of sweets here is still a magical experience. They specialize in gummy treats but sell all sorts of candy including classics.
The retail store is always busy! Store is small and usually cramped for space. They should consider making the store larger to accommodate the amount of customers in the store. A traffic light is greatly needed at the entrance. Prices seem high, but the quality of the product is good.
Amazing little gem of a place. Colorful and bright, everything that Candy Factory should be. Informational videos and you get to watch the candy making process. Servers are generous with giving you samples of candy before you buy. Available it all sizes shapes colors, with and without sugar, too!
It's a big candy store with an especially large collection of gummy candies, amongst the usual confections. The factory tour is understandably not a real tour. There's a series of videos next to windows showing the production floor. The TVs are difficult to hear when the store is bustling. The windows are good for showing a bit of the process without introducing the food safety and liability risks of letting the public into the facility.
Great place to buy candy especially their gummy bears.
Gummy bear and candy heaven! Best part is you can sample everything before you buy. A must stop with the kids!
Great stop on your ride south. Tons of flavors you never see in stores. Free samples!!! Huge chocolate fountain.
Good custy service and I like the good deals on the mistake candy. Always a zoo in here, though, so if you have claustrophobia or hate people, don't bother stopping in.
Like Willy Wonka's "World of Pure Imagination," minus the Oompa Loompas, with chocolate stream and conveyor belts filled with candy! Excellent experience, and well worth the hour drive from Chicago.
