Only thing good here is the bouldering lots of problems and a good variety. The toprope walls are pretty short and half of them are closed because they are setting for the next competition. I am yet to go here with all walls open. My main problem here is the staff and their belay check I understand that they have to do the 3 part check for their insurance but I have taken this belay check everytime I have gone to this gym (6 times) and each time they say I have only one in the system they have failed to record every other time that I've passed.
Pretty good experience kids enjoyed themselves alot
Love this place, courses are fun and elaborate and always changing. Great workout, fun staff and not too crowded on the weekends. I'd avoided the BOGO night, went that night and it was so crowded I could barely get a climb in but it was still a good time and usually if you are having trouble a random stranger will drop in and give you a hand maybe some tips and tricks!
Overall great gym. The setting is great, and I really like that they have a proper slab wall. The only downsides of this gym is that the lead test seems way too hard (have to climb overhanging - like >45 - 5.9 clean) and the top rope walls are fairly short.
Best rock gym in NJ by far. Hard to spot if you're a first timer but very worth the drive all the time.
Great atmosphere, climbs, and employees. They change the routes frequently. Dylan, Eddie, and Irina are awsome setters. Perfect place for training and improvement. Yes, it can get crowded, but there's a reason for it. The gym is relatively on the smaller side and there's no autobealy, but they make a very good use of the space they have. Lead wall is overhung and pretty hardcore and soooo many fun toprope problems! PLENTY of bouldering problems- the island, upstairs, and the cave. Also, the staff make sure you are safe and know what you're doing. Plus, a lot of experienced climbers who aren't tools :)
Price is just right and you can pull plastic to your heart's content with or without a rope.
Sooooo fun. Great instructors, great climbing walls for bouldering and belaying. Wish it was closer to home!
Good routes and nice staff but not a great atmosphere
Great atmosphere, climbs, and employees. They change the routes regularly. Eddie and Irina set pretty awesome routes. Perfect place for training and improvement. I liked the climbs but the walls were low so the first move is usually pretty hard and then it gets easy.. I was bouldering. Strange grading
I'm a big fan of this gym. The prices are really good in comparison and I've tried a lot of other rock gyms around. I think they're routes are difficult and varied. They regularly reset routes. The people are kind and very helpful. Usually not crowded unless you go on BOGO night.
Have been going here for a while now. It is a great place to climb! They set new routes very frequently. They have a nice clean bathroom unlike many I have seen. The staff is great and will listen to any opinions you may have. The only cons are it can get a little crowded on certain days. The gym is on the small side. The climbs can also vary in difficulty. Some lower grades are perfect, but some are way to hard for beginners. I have been climbing for several years now, so I am not just saying that. It is not a place I would bring my gf to for bouldering. But the top rope routes are great!!
