If I was the owner, I would fire all of the waiters and hire new, more customer service-savvy and friendly ones. The place needs a major customer service overhaul. When we arrived, there were two waiters in the café - a male and a female. The body language of the waitress showed a clear displeasure with our arrival. The male waiter pretended that we are not even there. The place had only 2 tables occupied (4 guests) and the male waiter was serving both of them. I overheard him asking the waitress to serve our table, but she was nowhere to be seen. The time was after 3pm and we haven't eaten since 7am. Finally, after 20 minutes of wait, we just walked out. On the way out we saw the female waitress flirting with the front desk attendant. Very disappointing! Will never come back! Unless you are willing to endure a long wait and tolerate a bad attitude, go somewhere else.
The food is awesome! Love the lagman soup so much! Kebabs are great. Service is friendly, a wonderful place for family and friends.
No Uzbek cafe/restaurant can compare with Nargis. I am Uzbek. And the often used cuisine is naturally our national cuisine. If you ask where the food of this cuisine is prepared correctly and tasty, then only in Nargis cafe! Just a delight! I recommend everyone! A place of fresh and delicious meals! Thanks to the cafe for their hard work and may it please us for many many years to come.
The ground kebab was good, but chicken kebab was raw.
This place is so good. Im so full
Authentic Uzbek style food, great setting. Reasonably priced, but not cheap.
Don't understand all the positive reviews. Apart from the naan, everything was disappointing. The grilled vegetable skewer was undercooked and covered in what tasted like a sugar sauce. The beef dumplings were greasy and bland. The mashed potatoes tasted like powder mixed with water. The $8 "homemade" Napoleon cake tasted it come right out of a plastic box, accompanied by a sad lump of canned whipped cream. Even the tea was bad :( Could have been a liveable experience if it wasn't for the loud club music. Don't recommend at all.
This place used to be amazing. Now, the quality of food went down, and the prices are sky high. I will no longer be recommending this place to anyone
Used to love this place, would order from them often. All of a sudden they raise prices--they were steep before, now are just ridiculous--$13 for a small portion of dumplings, really? Not to mention delivery minimum of $17. Who do they think they are? It's decent food but it's not 5 star cuisine, nothing to write home about. Their loss, anyway, they'll see how many customers they'll lose.
Very fresh food, clean kitchen, tasty dishes. Julia took our order on the phone. She was very polite and professional, gave me suggestions with the order, haven't made any mistakes. Delivery was made at the requested time sharp! Thank you and for sure we'll come back to your place.
The food was ok.Not like before but anyway still fine with price. The service is horrible 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
Never had a such bed experience before with that place like today. Came with friends to enjoy dinner as always. Was very disappointed.Waiters is not even listen our order. Kitchen is always late with kebabs even if there is not a lot of customers. Was very sad 😭
One of the great Brooklyn eating experiences. Pumpkin rati are in a class by themselves. Just shared a leg of lamb dinner with my foodie wife. Too good to describe. Come eat here, you'll see. Tiramisu to die for better than most Italians
Amazing place. Every dish i ordered was always good. Best avocado salad , and amazing meat.
Food is good - but sometimes, some dishes are very salty. I like their selection of salads I've never been disappointed. My biggest problem is that they squeeze so many tables and chairs into the room that sitting isn't pleasurable. if the person sitting behind you gest up they knock into your chair. I don't want to even say how many times i've spilled my drink because someone knocked into me (when sitting in the middle of room).
But they win on the food. They have a nice selections and I always get something for their specials and it's always delicious.
The atmosphere, the staff and the food were wonderful. We had several appetizers as a meal instead of entrées. The salad, freshly baked bread, we're delicious. Everything had such a wonderful combination of seasonings. I will be returning soon to sample some more of the cuisine.
It might be the best place for decent priced food but still reasonably priced in the area. I can tell you one thing my friends: everything taste amazing (Maybe they can do something about their desserts options). Yes, hard to believe, but try it yourself, you will be eating here more than you thought you will. Nargiz caffe is the place I will choose if I am in Brooklyn.
Service-5* quickly, professional staff ( just little more 😁 smile) food-5* meat is soft and delicious 😋, soup is incredible. Recommend.
Horrible service, food is ok, nothing I cannot get from similar places. Very crowded, sit extremely close to a person behind you. Your chairs keep bumping to one another. Very disappointed.
Love, love, love this place. My favorites are the Mantis and Lamb Skewers.
It get's really crowded here and you will sit quite close to other tables as they try to fit as many tables as possible. But it's well worth it.
Getting food all the time from this place. Usually place an order on my way home from the office at the evening. Last time on September 14 in the evening when I tried to place an order by phone the girl was extremely unpleasant and rude with a "russian" attitude. I ordered food from a different place. When I came to find out ..Why..? I did not get any apology from her. She shows her attitude again. Cafe manager was very nice. I hope I will never see this girl again. Don't feel comfortable to call again or come anymore to enjoy great food.
