This was my second time visiting Nage for Thanksgiving. Not being able to get home, this restaurant surely was a close second. This price is a little steep, so make sure you go hungry. Great tasting food.

Absolutely awful. The service is non-existent. Server never even asked once if my friend and I would like a refill on our drinks glasses sat empty. Server never asked how the food was. The worst part is the OUTRAGEOUS price for the portion size. I ordered the New Orleans BBQ Shrimp. I literally got 4 (yes FOUR) individual shrimp and a slice of bread. The price? $14!!!!!! That’s $3.50 per shrimp! I will not be returning and will make sure my friends don’t either. This absolutely ruined my evening not to mention leaving me hungry.

The wait staff was courteous, knowledgeable and accommodating each time I ate at Nage Bistro while staying at the Courtyard in Dupont Circle. I thoroughly enjoyed most of the menu items I tried. The food was fresh, well seasoned with quality ingredients. I would have loved to meet the chef to compliment him on his delicious Jerk Roasted Corn. The Noir Sucre desert dish was perfectly balanced with sweetness. A fix for any chocolate lovers jones without being too much. Shrimp and Grits were fantastic too. My only one criticism was with the lobster mac n cheese. The lobster was a bit overcooked. However, the addition of English peas added a sweetness that complimented the lobster flavor. As a personal preference, I am not a fan of loose sauce mac n cheese. Other than that, great!

Last night I visited the restaurant Nage: (raining night) the view was nice, looking at the big poster in front of the Australian Embassy. The food was ok, the portion very small. The service was ok until I received my bill, I dined alone that is why I do not understand why this practice. When I was going to write the tip, I decided to look at the charges (usually I just add the tip and sign). Automatically there is a charge of “20% SVC CHRG Tp%” $15.20 was added to my bill and after the subtotal the space for gratuity was blank, not cross out. If I did not take an extra minute to revise the bill I will leave another gratuity. This is so unbelievable, I took a picture of the check.
Dictionary
“Gratuity is: 1) a gift or reward, usually of money, for services rendered; tip
2) something given without claim or obligation”
A gratuity is to the discretion of the client and I have never heard a café /restaurant take the liberty of adding the gratuity at whatever percentage they
want. Please be careful make sure one verifies their receipt. That is not honesty. This is extremely low.

My wife and I had thanksgiving dinner at Nage and we were very disappointed with the food and service. The menu was very limited turkey, ham, mash potatoes, stuffing, max n cheese, and collard greens. I believe they served cranberry sauce but, it tasted more like cherry sauce out of the can. The food was basic with little to no seasoning or flavor. the greens were just boiled and served plain, while the mash potatoes taste like instant, out of a box. The mac n cheese was not much better. Two desserts were served bread pudding and pecan tarts both were horrible.

The service well, after we can back from the rest room they had bused our table, collected our things and were about to seat someone else in our place.

It's quite adequate for brunch. Service is a little slow, but everyone is very nice. One menu complaint is that chicken and waffle is advertised as having tenders and what they bring out are chicken wings. Still, that's the traditional presentation, so it was all good with us.
