The local legend is "If your on a loosing streak, you can break it by driving up to the lodge (2 hour unbelievable drive into the mountains) and eat their bowl of French soup, so down $2,000 I took the drive. Great drive and super nice staff. Ate the soup and won my money back! Plus a $1,000!!

The employees were very friendly but they accidentally checked me out when I was staying for three nights. So I had to go through the process again of checking in. And then when they told me that my card was keyed properly, that I must be doing something wrong, it wasn't me, it was them. Also, there was no coffee pot in the room, something I've never seen before, and you pay $3 for a cup of coffee downstairs. Oh, there's no elevator here either so be prepared to climb the stairs. Which wasn't a problem for me, but maybe for someone else.

The Lodge is one of two places on the Kyle Canyon side of Mt. Charleston with accommodations and dining. We've never stayed here, but visit the mountain a few times a year and usually stop in for breakfast or a burger. The porch views are wonderful, but not always permissible depending on the weather. The food is good, last time I ordered a nugrr and it was cooked to a nice medium as I'd ordered it. The Mt. Charleston Coffee is a perfect accompaniment on a chilly winter night. Be prepared for a little higher than usual prices, though, but consider it as part of the experience.

Absolutely great location really not far from Vegas. Rooms are very cozy, pet friendly, and super friendly staff. Food and drinks at the lodge are strip prices but good. WiFi & very strong cell signal (tower eight out back). Would highly recommend for an overnight stay or juts a bite to eat after hiking one or the nearby trails.

I love this place. Beautiful scenery & great friendly staff. Food is very good. Thomas, the General Manager, is a great person who is always helping out in the community.

My boyfriend took me on a mini road trip and brought me here for the first time . It was very relaxing and cozy inside. We just made a quick stop here and I would definitely consider making plans to spend a weekend stay with my boyfriend hopefully in the winter time after next snowfall. 😉

The first thing that anyone sees here is the scenery. It is absolutely breath taking! The mountains, the forestry, and the fact that the temperature is usually about 20 degrees below that of Las Vegas. I had the Elk burger and loved it! The servers were both Excellent! If you don't mind a 45 minute drive from Vegas, id highly recommend stopping by.

The drive is very scenic all the way up to the lodge. When you get there the temperature goes down about 10° from the city of Vegas. The lodge has very good food and service. Everyone is helpful and courteous. The drinks are worth every penny and in the winter months the hot chocolate with your choice of alcohol is delicious. When the temperature is comfortable outside sitting on the deck is really relaxing. Try the lodge for lunch, appetizers or dinner. My family totally loves this place.

all seats in the restaurant boast woods- & mountain-side views and is rugged-themed with fireplace and -pits - open-aired inside, too, with windows agape and vaulted, lodge ceilings revealing the wood structuring. the [breakfast] dishes are hearty and very good while the service was top-tier. we sat outside on a canvas-covered deck with views of the towering mountains & steep forests in a pleasant temperature as some of their first guests after Open - a great getaway from the rising morning heat in the Vegas valley. overall: worth the drive and spending a couple hours enjoying good conversation & fresh air over a fine meal.

Took out of state friends there. When we were seated the table was one chair short. Thought the host that seated us was going to get another, but he just returned to the host station. Had to ask several employees before we were able to get another chair. When we ordered drinks one in our party ordered coffee, one diet soda and two iced teas. Server brought 3 iced teas and said coffee was brewing. Recieved our food and still no coffee. After asking again coffee finally arrived. When we left my guests shorts had a stain on the seat from the chair they brought from the corner. Guess that chair wasn't being used for a reason. If this were my first visit I would have rated it one star and never returned.

They were very prompt on seating us. The live music was great. Great service. Food could have been better. But the view was to die for. They also took great care of my dogs need.

Nice Lodge restaurant tucked into the mountains. Great views of the valley and a nice deck to enjoy the weather. Popular location, but not too busy. Food was good and served fast despite hosting a wedding party at the same time. Polite staff.

We took an afternoon and drove up to the mountain. It isn't a visit without having lunch at the top. They told us it was a 20 minute wait but in mountain time it must be quicker because in 5 minutes we were seated. Waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable. Almost everything was $15 but portions are generous and the view wonderful so well worth the price. Enjoy an afternoon and go the the mountain and the lodge in Kyle Canyon
