Old-timey cut rate movie theater. Friendly staff, not packed, good movies. What more do you want?
The seats are occasionally not the most comfortable, but the popcorn is good and the experience is as good as one can expect from a discount theater. Our family enjoys this venue and it has resulted in many good, building family outings over the years. Isn't that what's most important?
This is a second-run movie theater, meaning they show films that have been in theaters for a while at a discounted price.
The picture and sound quality has improved now that they are using digital projectors and moved away from the 35mm film.
The theaters are comfortable. Athough on occasions I found some of the fold down seats broken so I move to the next one. The theater does have musty smell either from the seats or carpeting.
Concessions has a good selection and at a fair price.
For the price of admission ($4) it's a fair deal to catch a movie for the last time on the big screen before it goes to DVD.
Been going to this movie theater for 20 years, Great place for a cheap date, free refill on large popcorn and drink. The price of the movies went up due to digital projection, so it cost four dollars to see a movie now. Still way cheaper than AMC or regal. If you want to see something on the big screen and you're willing to wait, this is your place.
Great movies and refills on your popcorn! !
Sadly to say it's Under New Ownership and there as of two weeks ago. Very few, and I am serious Very few of the Original employees are Left There.5 Are left. The other's were Fantastic people. Don't know how much longer it's going to be open and for that matter be around.
Not only that, the "Management, is Over there Head"!
You all that have been rating this Location, revisit it again, and make your own opinions and critic's.
Have fun. 😎👍
The New Management is wonderful! Great staff and nice updates concessions. Waiting for the new and improved theatre. Out with movies 8in with Movies Plus. I'm sure there are great things to come and I am looking forward to visiting and enjoying a great family outing there more often!! ❤️❤️❤️
Great movies and refills on your popcorn! !
Sadly to say it's Under New Ownership and With the Church there as of two weeks ago. A Manager is Rude, Obnoxious and Intolerant and Smokes so much! Very few, and I am serious Very few of the Original employees are Left There.5 Are left. The other's were Fantastic people. Don't know how much longer it's going to be open and for that matter be around.

The place is now skeleton crew, and from what I have seen at nights, the front worker's Ladies, have to go to the theater we we're in, to clean up. Conditions are Deplorable, Disgusting, Smells, Etc! Considering that appears not to afford properly cleaning professional cleaning people's. Since, folks have Sex, CONDOM under sets, Dirty Diapers, all types of Diapers!
It's a miracle that they have not be Condemned, Closed. Besides, Church there OWNS it. At, least they have. Last time we visited the Church. That's another can of worms.
No longer go there either.
Oh, and there's this dude, be very careful with!!! Not knowledgeable. No
This is the only reasonably priced movie theater in Tallahassee. Great staff, super clean, and the best popcorn in town.
Pretty good little theater. They could have a better selection like they used to. $4 a film isn't that bad at all
Movies 8 is a great way to go to the movies without having to spend a ton of money. The building is a little dated but the people make up for it with thier friendly and helpful attitudes.
Movies 8 isn't the best theater in Tallahassee, but when you can go with your significant other and get popcorn and a drink for under $20? Yes please.
The popcorn is delicious, but they used to give you a bucket when you ordered a large, but now they only give you a bag now. It's a large bag, mind, and you get a free refill but what can you do?
The seats are comfortable enough to see a 2-3 hour movie in, so no complaints there. The one negative I have for it is that every time I go there the audio has been a bit too loud. You get used to it, but it's still kind of uncomfortable.
Oh, and it's cash only. Not a bad thing, just something you should keep in mind when you go.
