Great birding. Lots of waders, ducks, and shore birds. Beautiful vistas. Also lots of gators and we have seen wild hogs and a bobcat once.

Party of 5 thoroughly enjoyed oysters on the half shell, steamed oysters, and boiled shrimp. All excellent! Steger excellent and made adjustments for the shrimp that first arrived incorrect. Not our first visit

Serene Outdoor Adventure
Your next adventure is just a short drive outside of Tallahassee. Wild animal sitings and short hiking trails appeal to my love of nature and of course an added bonus is to witness a colorful sunset over the bay. (You can also fish and cast small boats into the channels.) This has quickly become one of my favorite go-to places to retreat following a challenging week.

Would love to go back here. The serenity of this place is well worth the drive fronts anywhere. The lighthouse looks stunning and the various hiking trails along the salt marsh out the sea are just magnificent

I've been visiting St. Marks NWR for many year's, its a favorite place of mine for wildlife watching, and nature photography. The key here is just slow down and take your time. By careful of speedy cars full of tourists on the main road, too many people blast through the place instead of slowing down and actually looking at the refuge. The refuge staff are all top notch, very friendly and knowledgeable about the ecosystems here.

Nice place where you can find peace and birds' singing along your visit. Highly recommended for Nature lovers. $5/car entrance is a great deal for students/family on budget and you can spend a whole day over there. Staff is kind and professional! Go, go and GO!
