  Cute hotel but no on-site staff. Could use a bit of updating.

  The room was adequate, though some of the other rooms were much nicer. Theres a pool and a hot tub. Breakfast was provided but it was pretty basic.

  The mid century exterior design is cool. The room we stayed wasn't clean and the design wasn't unique at all.

  Went to a birthday party at the hotel and had a great time. The facility is older but nicely maintained. Nothing like a small 30 unit hotel with a central pool and bar for parties and entertaining.

  We have been going to The Movie Colony for years & have always loved everything this place has or had to offer. The hotel is going through new ownership & you can feel the change as soon as you check in, although the receptionist who checked us in was very helpful, & a fun personality. The free breakfast for our stay was still provided, but the happy hour which we loved is no longer available, although we are not big drinkers it was so nice to mix with the other guests & we have met people from all over the world.
  The most upsetting part of our stay was when we arrived home one of my silk tops was missing, so upset as I have tried contacting the hotel by phone & email telling them exactly where I left this top, as of today I have had no replies. So sad as this was our favorite place to chill out!
