Overall we wished we picked another place. We were moved 2 different times. First room smelt of smoke in a non smoking room. Second room drain and air conditioner did not work. 3rd room we kept killing roaches in the bath room, toilet seat was falling off toilet. Floors were not moped in either room we slept in. I had my children keep their socks on. Comforters were stained and had cigarette burns towels were worn almost rags. If any other places had availability and we weren't were on a budget around $20 more, we wouldn't have stayed. Been in nicer places for that cost.
Was in the room a total of 45 seconds and saw a roach on the sink counter. I saw half a dozen more the next 2 days. The entire grounds is pretty much one big piece of dog feces. Out of the 10 dogs I saw there mine was the only one with an owner who actually picked up after it. It was so bad we actually checked out at 2 pm the day before we were supposed to leave and just drove back home to VA. We would have rather lost a night we already paid for than stay there one more night.
This hotel was horrible!! It was small, and nasty!! I requested a downstairs due to my disability but did not receive one. The TV didn't work properly and no one ever came to replace it nor move me. I called the front desk numerous times which no one ever answered!! No free wifi, no breakfast!!! Next time, I'll sure read the fine print better!! I will NEVER stay here again! It was just HORRIBLE!
Arrived at 8 pm after a 15 hour drive to a host in our room. Mr. Roach greeted us kindly. One perk is that the maids don't mind if you clean the room- which you will have to do if you don't want black feet or hair in your bed. The towels and sheets were filthy. I used my own blankets to cover the bed. I will throw them away after leaving. Our door looked like it had been kicked in for it wouldn't even shut right. I had to put a chair against it to feel the least bit safe. I honestly do not think that our room had been mopped in years. The bath tub hadn't been cleaned in the same amount of time. Trust me spend a little extra to get a clean room!!
Have to admit best motel I have stayed at in a long time it's been updated so much since the last time I have been there yet the prices are just so right. As soon as I pulled up to check in everyone was greeting me even the general manager Lorena made me feel like I was coming back home from a trip even though I was on one. She did not miss a beat she remember me and my family from last time I was thrilled she was still there I assumed the company would had moved her up to a higher position given how she transformed that hidden location to what it is now it is so different now in such a good way. quality, hospitality, actual customer service, etc No other motel in the area can compare to this one I will always be coming back here this is and will be our first and only pick needed when I or my family visit Florida for holidays coming up. Lorena too you and your amazing team keep it up guys motel six is number one.
Stayed there because of location. Parking is great, front desk girl was helpful and nice. Neighborhood was not the best. Homeless and other lotering around the property. Room had very strong odor of i assume cleaning products. But it did not smell fresh. Next day our hear and belongings had that smell. Bedding is outdated and burned by cigs..
Will not recommend this place. Will try something different next time.
The room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of cable channels. You need a micro wave and a refrigerator in the room but besides that great
Non smoking room reeked of stale smoke. Was dirty. Had roaches. Sides of box springs filthy. Rude staff. Lazy staff: never came to room to spray for smoke order after I was told they would. Very inflexible after the hurricane. I checked out late because in the morning there were no accessible roads to my home after hurricane Irma went thru. About 2 a road opened and I decided to go home and let them know I was leaving, and immediately a man and a woman banged on my door, yelled at me to leave immediately, would not let me close the door. Finally he said he’d give me 10 minutes and left. The motel was without power. 5 minutes later I left. They yelled at me when I gave them my card key and demanded cash for that night also. I said no, and she said that when the power came up she would run my friend’s card for that night. I was out of there by 2:30pm and thought they were completely unreasonable. When I talked to customer service several days later, they called the property and whoever they spoke with there lied and said they had power and phones that day. Worst experience ever.
Unfortunately we did not have a great stay at this Motel 6. The staff were doing their best to figure out a new check-in system when we arrived, which was fine, but took quite some time. We got our room and it seemed satisfactory, so we went out for dinner. We came back and began to put the children to bed when I spotted a small roach on the ground. Then another small one. I realize this is Florida in the summertime and so we just called the front desk to ask for someone to bring some bug spray or something and we'd continue on.
They were probably busy, no one ever came, so we proceeded to try and turn out the lights (it was late) to get the kids to settle down. We turned the light back on to get something and realized that there were not one or two, but many roaches coming from the A/C unit in the wall. Then my son spotted one crawling around on his bed.
We had had enough. It was 11pm and we had two small children but we couldn't sleep in that room so I asked to check out. I got charged $50 for the pleasure of all this but was too tired and frazzled to argue at the time.
The staff member Moises was a lovely young man and he did his best to help us check in and out but I was a little disgruntled to have been charged for the night when we were there for about an hour total.
I stayed in 3 different Motel 6's on this trip. All had the new AC units with the display that lit up from within. All worked great. Good choice!
Cleaning - and this goes for all properties I've stayed at over the years - the floors are ALWAYS dirty. I always have to wash my slippers, and I don't dare go barefoot. Dry mopping doesn't work. I would recommend a good wet mop after 5 nights of use, if not more often. AND - the rooms could be more thoroughly cleaned every so often. Don't look under the bed, yuck. Dust Bunny Colonies. Perhaps put them on a rotating schedule whereby each room gets thoroughly scrubbed - INCLUDING ALL FIXTURES.
I would bet good money if the cleaning gets moved up a notch or two, your ratings would be through the roof!! :)
This hotel was nice for the cost to stay for a night. You can request smoking or non and it is pet friendly. The curtains helped reduce the noise from outside even when my room was very close to the outdoor pool. I really liked the fact that there were visible cameras all over to reduce the risk of issues.
I had a reservation for a room with a queen size bed. I travel with a service dog. I was in town on business. I asked about a ground floor room. The desk clerk said he had a ground floor room with a queen bed. The room was ADA but the bench looked unsafe to use. The bed was a full size bed, which means for tall people your feet hang off. I had put a piece of toilet paper in the toilet that morning. When I arrived that evening it was still there. The bed was sloppily made, a handful of soap, and clean towels. The whole place is surrounded by signs that says Motel 6 is not responsible for anything. They have security at night. the rate was cheap, but i think some people live there full time. This is my first bad experience with Motel 6 and I am disappointed. If you have to pay a little more for a room, go somewhere else.
This was my second visit to this Motel 6 and again it was a good stay.
The room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The motel does seem to get full often and yet it does remain a quiet location. A very good stay with the only issue that the beds could be more comfortable.
Price for the night was right. Wish the windows blinds could cover better to make the room darker. My wife said the room feels like it could be a little cleaner and the pillows / pillow cases had a smell. Staff was professional and straight to the point.
Booked online and super easy. Called to verify reservation and staff member was sharp and very nice. Check in was a breeze and staff member adjusted the price because my son was still a child therefore paid less than expected. For a a single mom on a budget this was very significant. Felt safe with the security guard around patrol. Plenty of parking. Very affordable and easy check in and check out. Thank you!
