I'm rating this a 3 star only because of the staff. They went above and beyond to try to make our stay ok. They are just getting started with new ownership I believe. The staff was amazing, the hotelwell needs lots of work
The pet policy just says 2 pet limit. I have 2 dogs. When I checked in, they said because I also have 2 children they could only allow one pet. I am not sure if I should get rid of a dog or a kid. A policy that says 2 pets allowed should mean that I can go to any Motel 6 with my family and be fine.
Great place to bring your hooker. Other than that look elsewhere. Smelled bad. Ceiling was chipping. TV was falling apart. Cigarette burns and mystery stains everywhere. There were a person outside yelling at himself. I could barely stand 15 minutes before looking for a new hotel. When I came back to the motel to get my money back there were cops lining the side of the building with lights on.
Motel 6 asked me to affirm that I would not smoke, but I had to scrub hard during my morning shower to wash the room's existing smoke smell off my hair and body.
Dim lights. Some not working.
Bed is so old that it bend deeply in the middle.
Bed is off its foundation, giant metal things sticking up from the sides. Hazardous if I were to get up in middle of night; they could scrape my ankles and/or trip me.
Carpet might be older than me.
Multiple holes in the walls, near baseboards.
Biggest problem: intense smoke odor, and beyond that, it smells like 1955. No exaggeration: I regret not spending the night in my car.
We have stayed at the hotel before, cheaper and close enough to where I need to get to,didn't think it was a big deal. The a/c would not cool the room down during the day (mid 80's outside), for a freshly painted room (signs posted everywhere letting you know) there was a hole in the wall on the corner and showing the metal mesh underneath, the main light in the bathroom over the sink would not come on leaving only the one in the shower. Of and the shower head faced the wall which did not give you room to do any washing. The floor by the window was wet which we didn't find out about until the middle of the night l, tried to call the front desk and the room phone did not work.
The staff was very friendly and accomodating. We needed a last minute room on Memorial Day, and they were the most cost effective. Our room, however, was in the worst state we had ever seen. The odor in the room was so strong that we had to leave the door open for awhile to let it air out. The carpet was so dirty and damp, that it turned our white socks brown. We had to leave our shoes on just to walk around. We realize that you "get what you pay for," but we have never had a dirtier room than this. All other cost effective rooms we have stayed in have been very clean. This one, not at all.
Most of the times I stay in Motel6 as it is really economical for me. Many places I feel it is well maintained. I have to say that I am not satisfied with the appearance of the motel. It looks not well maintained. But the major part is that I made a reservation with an estimate of $59.93 for a single queen bed room. I generally book a room more focusing on room count than the guest count. And I never was told because we are two we will be charged extra. I was in an assumption that if a couple books a queen bed room even though marked as 1 guest , we would be allowed. And when I reached the place I was told I didn't mention as two guests and ended up paying $10.xx more. My question is, "If the basis is on number of people, would they allow three/four in the same single queen bed charging extra $10-20?" I am sure it is definitely a NO.
Nice, helpful staff; convenient location; pet-friendly; but definitely in need of renovation (which the staff hopes will occur this year). Clean, comfortable beds, fairly new showers, but carpeting, doors, walls, furniture very shabby. Couldn't get heat to turn off and no air conditioning was available (system not turned on), so the room was stifling. Had to keep the door open for several hours until the temperature became bearable. Reserved a two-bed room on line but the room I got had only one bed. Stairs closest to my second floor room were broken and blocked off, but there was an elevator that worked well, so I used that instead. The electrical outlets in the bathroom didn't work, nor did several in the bedroom; had to unplug the TV to plug in my travel hair dryer. Nice clean vending area, friendly front desk people - spoke with Phillip and Chelsea, who both said they hoped renovations would be coming soon. Adequate parking, guest laundry, not much room to walk dogs though; easy on/off I-65. Will plan on staying here again after they renovate the property.
