I've been going here since I was a child but haven't been back in several years, wow they've really expanded it. My kids loved the outdoor exhibits most, especially the shark tank. It's worth the trip across the street to the other building to see the turtles, manatees and otters. There were plenty of volunteers around to answer questions. There is a small cafe on site, but I recommend skipping it and eating at the nearby Old Salty Dog or New Pass Grill instead for outdoor casual food with a water view. My only criticism is that they wouldn't give me the military discount because my spouse (the service member) wasn't with us.

Really fun! They should have more shrimp and snails though! The otters were sleeping when I visited but it was still super fun! Totally recommend going. You don't have to have kids to go, I went with a co-worker and her husband and it was great! They should have a singles night for people who enjoy fish :p

Pretty cute. Get a tourist coupon. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. You can feel the joy working there brings them. It's cool they are doing cancer research. Can be seen in an hour. Also I wish boat tour would leave at 10:15. Give people time to get there and learn about it y'know?

Grew up in Sarasota and have always enjoyed More Marine. I just wish the prices were a bit more reasonable especially for locals and I would take my children more often. Nice hands on tank, big tanks, and even a shark tank with marine animals and fish to see. Also there are opportunities to learn more about what More Marine does and how they help save marine life.

A great place to see and learn about the marine life in Sarasota Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. There are well informed volunteers to provide information on all the life that you see. Mote also has a boat that takes you out into the bay where you can view manatees and dolphins. They also use a special net to bring up living material from the bay. You have the opportunity to interact with many of these creatures but all is returned to the water. Great for kids and adults.

I love this aquarium,they help protect the oceans and save animals from danger. I love this place so much it is my favorite aquarium to go to. And its so beautiful all the fish and sea animals.

Great spot to take the kids throughout the year. The trick or treat night was a blast. Mote also does a ton of real research work in the local bay to help preserve and protect so many animals and habitats. A great organization.

Went with my 15 month old twins. While they are young, they are very attentive. There wasn't much to see. We were there and gone within 30 minutes. And that was a stretch back at the few fish tanks again. Hour and a half each way to get there. 22 per adult to get in.absolute waste of a day. And so very hot. The air conditioned areas were still very sticky.

Had a great time at the aquarium. The jelly fish and seahorses are beautiful and the manatee is massive. The best part was the Eco tour. We went at 4pm and saw many dolphins, caught puffer fish and crabs and other small fish and invertebrates. At the end we saw two sharks hunting and attacking fish at the top of the water which was incredible. Our tour guide was Ashley and she made it fun and educational. She was easy to talk to and very friendly.

Fantastic Aquarium!! My family and I are so glad we were recommended by our server at Beach House to go. We have been to many aquariums around the state of Florida, but we have not seen a nicer aquarium. The staff was fantastic. There were so many tanks with awesome fish. We have been coming to Anna Marie island every year to vacation for the past 12 years. We will be adding the Mote Marine Aquarium to our yearly agenda.

Beautiful aquarium. Seems a little pricey since it's not big, but the beautiful displays and super volunteers make up for it. The volunteers are excellent, we loved talking to them and my kids asked tons of questions. They were patient and very knowledgeable!

I will never be going back to this place. The employees are rude! The two finger touch is allowed in some areas for kids to touch sea life. My child did such that and the rude worker told my son he was hurting the creature. Not to touch him that way. The fish was swimming around and he was following with his two fingers. I can assure you he was not hurting anything what so ever. He was being gentle, and only used his two fingers. The employee little did she know his Mom was two people away from him and watched and over heard the whole thing. The fish was not in any way of being harmed and my son didn't deserved to be talked to in such manner! Horrible experience and we paid close to $100.00 for that. No thanks! Fish were cool employees not so cool!

This is such a great place to bring the family and to really let them see the variety we have here in Florida of sea creatures. The new section is very well put together and very educational for everyone. I love coming here at least once a year and bringing my out-of-town guests. Thank you Mote.

This is a great place to take the kids. Nice exhibits but not overdone. Manatees and turtles and big shark and fish tank are the highlights. This is a small aquarium with two different buildings a hundred yards apart. For kids exhibits are up close and there are not too many. They can get close and see everything. The docents are great and do a wonderful job especially with childrenof all ages!

Otters! Manatees! Turtles! Sharks! Oh my! I LOVE THIS PLACE. In my opinion, it's one of the best aquariums I've ever been to. And this is not just for your entertainment! This aquarium is first and foremost a marine laboratory for research and science. Its mission is to further our understanding of marine and ocean life and, above all else, how to preserve it for future generations. Your visit to this place directly helps the laboratory continue to conduct important research into ocean sustainability, sea life preservation, coral reef repair, and species repopulation. Even if you hate science, please visit this place!
