I've stayed here many times over the years and always had a blast. However this last time I visited we stayed for a week and a half and had a very terrible experience. First of all the first room we were in the beds were so worn out that if you lay down on either one of them you fell out of them from the sides collapsing and having no support. The second rumor and the beds were fine over upon check-in for a second week the front desk manager was very rude. There was no maid service for the entire week, if you try to call the front desk because you need to towels or toilet paper or anything nobody was ever there. If you went to the front desk in person and somebody just happened to be there then you can get some new stuff. The wifi was absolutely terrible and kept cutting in and out. When we checked in to a pet friendly room for a week we got told there was an extra pet fee to be in one of the pet rooms. We were told if our roommate wanted to stay it was $25 extra for her to stay. However on our first night there the room on the other side of the bathroom was having a huge party until 3 in the morning with at least 10 people in the room and I'm sure they didn't have to pay extra! The fourth night there my husband could hear people beating their dog in the room next to us and when he called the front desk they told him they needed to keep it down, and then the people in the Next Room started pounding on our door telling us to mind our own business. Also you would be very lucky to find hot water there in the morning and when I asked somebody that work there what was going on they explained they were down to one hot water heater working and everybody was showering. The ice machine for the rooms rarely worked and the ice makers for the bars usually had locks on them so you had no access to ice. And after saying there for a week and a half on our last day we ask for a late check-out and we were told the night before no problem just let the morning front desk people know and when we called in the morning we were informed yet another $25 fee for a late check-out. Also our two dogs picked up fleas while staying there so ended up having to take them to get treated at the vet the day we checked out. Like I said I have stayed there many times over the years and although it's a little run-down it was no big deal but the bad attitude from the front desk manager just continued a feeling of I don't care that we received the whole stay. The only good part of the entire stay was Will the bartender at code bar.
Fun! Enjoyed DJ-driven poolside dancing sunday evening, then indoor clubbing into the night. Very friendly bartenders & staff. Motel rooms were somewhat of a dive: biggest issue was no hot water for showers.
Room was filthy wifi did not work was there for 3 days and got no room service the whole time we were there. Good points were we met some great people and enjoyed the shows and the great bartenders
I spent Labor Weekend there with my friends for a getaway. The sign on the front of the counter said if you stayed Friday and Saturday the Sunday night stay would be $39.99 instead of the regular rate of $79.99. I was told the manager would contact my room and adjust the price. No c all back 2 times while on my stay. I then sent an email through their website after my stay and there was no response. My room was musty smelling and the floor was cracked where the paint came off in a big chip. I was also told at checkin that even though my room was reserved with a fridge it was not "guaranteed". The bar staff was super friendly and fun. Next time I will stay across the street at the nice hotel and walk over for the fun.
A little bit pricey for the quality of room that you get but overall fun time
Called in reservation , gave them plenty of time to get room readybut no .. waiting 2 hours so far. Front desk kind of ghetto and unprofessional. Maids fighting with each other. Poor AC room dirty and outdated. Pool and shops nice. Supposedly can check in by 3pm. Not the case. There is a B&b in st pete we will try next time, or go non-gay.
I love staying here when i visit the area. Everyone has been friendly and helpful each time i have stayed. The first time i was there, it was a little dirty, but just the floor, and all i had to do was buy more socks at the end of the stay, so not really an issue. I have never had bed bugs or cleaning jobs, but i am glad you all did the upgrades. Keep up the good work, and I will keep coming back from Alaska to visit
Overall a good time. Property is fairly clean, does appear there is some construction/renovations going on. Could use more landscapping. The rooms are ok, a little on the sparse side. The staff were friendly.
Busy place. The pool area was packed, but well maintained. The staff are nice and there are a ton of bars!
It is an ok place to hang out with friends. A few years ago we tried to rent a room there after an event and the AC was not working, the room was hot, a very basic room. They refused to refund our money when we decided that the accommodations were not up to standard and would stay elsewhere. Never tried to rent a room there again. Service at the bars is usually good. Prices for drinks are decent. Events are usually well put together. The location is right off the main highway, so it's easy to get back to I-275. There is a McDonald's next door and a Taco Bell across the street for nearby food. The food at Flamingo is good from what I've had.
It's a gay resort. Drink are normal priced. Pool is alright. Usually only go with friends to drink.
Location is convenient right off 275. The resort had a nice crowd. Giant slide into the pool liked fun. Staff is great.I only went for a few hours on Sunday, so I didn't stay in a room
Very nice for relaxing. All of the bartenders are very friendly. Like the fact that you can do a late checkout. My only issue is that the housekeeping staff never seems informed about late checkouts. We were even locked out of our room one time. Housekeeper this morning was very rude and threw out our drinks even after being told they weren't empty.
