Been here twice and it's outstanding. A bit of old school steak house charm with amazing food and service.

My family had friends in town for the weekend who were staying at the Weston in Kierland. We were informed of a Restaurant Week deal being offered at Morton's so we decided to go for dinner.
The deal was a 4-course meal for $44, but you could only order from a limited menu. Makes total sense to offer a limited menu, and we knew going in we weren't going to be able to get a 16oz porterhouse.
When we sat at our table, we each received a full menu and a loose leaf paper informing us of their seasonal wagyu selection and other seasonal items. None of us were presented the Restaurant Week menu. Our server came back 10 minutes later and we had to ask for the limited menu, to which she replied, "oh yea, let me get that for you. We don't give those out unless asked for."
I have a few questions for Morton's:
1. Why participate in a promotional offering if your guests have to ask for the menu? Doesn't seem to make sense to me.
2. What if a guest orders a 4-course meal from the regular menu but each course is also on the promotional menu? Are you only charging the $44? Or are you still charging full price? I would like to give you the benefit of the doubt but the remainder of this review will explain why I cannot.
We are half way through our entrees when someone at our table notices we never received any bread at the beginning of the meal. When asked, our server replied, "Yea, they get a little weird about it during Restaurant Week. You have to ask for it, otherwise we don't bring any out." Upon looking around the dining room, we notice every table we can see has bread on it. So everyone asked for bread? Or just those tables taking advantage of the promotion need to ask for bread? There were 5 adults, each drinking cocktails, each ordering food from the promotional menu, and even ordering food from the regular menu! You couldn't offer us bread unless we asked?
Overall, I'm giving 3 stars because the food was very delicious. However, the service and underlying shady ethics of this restaurant left a lot to be desired.response / report this review -

This a great place if you want a well prepared steak and money is no object. Everything on the menu is delicious and meticulously prepared. The desert specials, like the souffle, are often made to order and should be requested 30 min in advance (your server will let you know). They also have a seasonal selection of entrees and appetizers available. Be aware, however, that a meal for 3 with wine, appetizers, sides, entrees, and desert ran about $500 after tip. However, you'll rarely run into a steak that is an equal, and cutting out drinks will lower your tab dramatically.

Best steak I've ever had. Hands down. It's actually unfair to compare steak from anywhere else to this restaurant, it's that far above the rest! Be prepared to spend at least $100 for 2 small people though.

We came here with some friends, and enjoyed a very memorable meal. My steak was done to perfection, the sides were really good too.
My wife had seafood, and was very pleased with how it was prepared. Good service all around.response / report this review
